Why hasnt anyone answered this question? im not here to cause an arguement, and wont be using those coupons after today...

All i have done is used some coupons where the expiry date is the 16th July, but that 16th is so small it could read the 18th July, TESCOS accepted them....if they dont read the small print correctly, then its not really my problem is it????

Like BLUEWKD said earlier 'I thank everyone wether I agree or disagree with their comments because I think if nobody posted on here then there would be no thread.'......its a forum, we have a right to post

    AND

M4RITN 'I'm sure they are not the only one........'.... is anyone going to own up?

I will answer in that I can read it as 16th for various reasons:
My print is clear, not sharp though so I can see why it would be questionable to some.

If it was 18th the 8 would even & not bottom heavy as a 6 is

A 6 is a 9 upturned with can easily been compared from the valid from 9th April text a few words prior.

That said it COULD be 18th to those quickly scaning but I think this is more to do with you asking for it to be redeemed knowing it is OOD.

I also looked back at your previos posts just like hogshead and came accross one where you were told that they were stopping mocs in Shrewsbury completely. Knowing there's a risk i would have thought it better to only use in date coupons as per Tesco's policy.

Yes, i believe they have stopped it there, but as i said my local is now TELFORD, both stores are equal distance from my coupon parlour! lol

All i say now is, your eyes must be much better than mine and the till staff at tescos then, if i didnt know it was the 16th then i could read it as the 18th...

Shall we end this now and hunt for more coupons to replace it????:rotfl:
  • Just come back from the T's I get petrol from and they have implemented a 10% rule on coupons due to people abusing the system - (I asked).

This is what happens when people use out of date and wrong coupons - yes you may get some money back and I'm sure T's will but in the long term it ruins it for everyone.

:confused:My local Mr T's in the last 2 weeks have insisted that all coupons are checked by a supervisor. On Tuesday I was approached by the checkout manager who I must have been pointed out to by a supervisor (I must be known to all of them by now:eek:)
She showed me an original of the finish coupon ( leaflet from lakeland) together with a copy of our finish coupon. She told me that head office would no longer be accepting them as they are probably copies.

I told her that the coupon ends on 16th July and I would not be using mine anymore. She was very pleasant about it IMHO.

Then yesterday a supervisor was called as usual, she took my coupons with her to show to a different checkout manager:confused:.Meanwhile I am holding up the queue and feeling slightly uncomfortable as you can imagine.

Eventually comes back saying to SA "ok you can put those through". I asked her what was all that about (for future reference) she said that I had been photocoping Lakeland vouchers. I took her away from the till and said in a rather loud voice "no I haven't, I would never photocopy coupons and anyway I haven't got a colour photocopier". She said something under her breath  and walked away.

So for me, Finish if still in date would have had to Finish for me :rotfl:
Feel better having told my cyber friends my experiences;)

I am off in a minute if I can convince my DD too stop being a puppy and actaully put her clothes on, she has been barking at me for the past hour now but being only 3 it is not out of the norm.. :rotfl:

Just rang clubcard to ask for the 40 bonus points I should have had for buying Pure milk, I enquired when this 1/4 ends she said points earned upto and including the 26th will be converted, so get those last few wine and marg purchases in quick.

I cannot recommend the taste cos haven't opened it yet (might update later :D) but my local didn't have the torres but came across another that had 100 points. It is a red wine called Tagus Creek (Portugese, 13 1/2%) and for every bottle sold they donate 5p to the Royal British Legion with a guarantee of £10, 000 per year. It cost £5.49 a bottle, so not bad price either.

Wow... you mean like TESCOs ripping off the product Manufacturers ???? if there eyes arnt good enough for the small print then its not my fault!! off to Tescos again in abit....
And NO im not maxing the MOC usage short term, actuall LONG TERM ive used them 4 times a day everyday since they were published along with other different coupons....
Tescos accepting coupons for products you dont buy WILL stop at some stage, so why not make the most of it now... and im quite sure alot of the silent people in here will use the finish coupons today too.

To the moners....can you clearly see the 16th? or could it be the 18th??????

Yes, I CAN clearly read the correct expiry date on this coupon! You know the coupon has expired and it is your responsibility not to try to pass it on an unsuspecting CA. Its like trying to pass off a £20 note that you know full well is a forgery and hoping the CA won't notice. Others may well try to pass an out of date coupon as well - but, just because other people do it, doesn't make it right. I'm not sure if I've read your post right but, if you have been using the same voucher 4 times every day in the same store, then your couponing days are numbered anyway.
