    Good Morning All

Stefejb - enjoy the Transport Museum, I did and I really didnt think I would

    Tired-mum - lovely photo's!

Halight - Happy Birthday to the twins - have a lovely party :j

Late post from me as we made a spur of a moment decision last night and went down to Trafalgar Sq, had dinner in Chinatown first. It was a lovely evening walking round London and the atmosphere in the Square was really warm and friendly. Lots of little shrines to MJ and loads of people singing & dancing.

Today I will be mainly mooching around the house doing bits and pieces. No idea whats for dinner tonight, I am meant to be going to the local pub with the girls but I am trying to get out of it. If I have to go then it wont be a good idea having the curry we planned for dinner :rotfl:

    Have a great Saturday.

Caz - the trip sounds great! I had similar comments from people when I told them I had to drive myself to France; they all made me even more worried, until my DS2 said 'you should be looking forward to it - I would be!' It made me realise that it didn't have to be something to dread. Once I'd settled into the drive, I actually found myself enjoying it, and the feeling of elation and pride when I arrived at my destination was as good as being told I'd passed my driving test, many summers ago!

I shall look forward to hearing how it all went!

Afternoon, Tired mum, your daughter looks lovely in the photos, thanks for sharing.
DD's school has a leavers ball when the kids leave 6th form, not after GCSEs, so although she's not staying on for 6th form ,she's had no prom....thank goodness :D
There is a leavers do at the 6th form she is going to, so I feel sorry for the parents who having paid out now for a prom for the 16 year olds, will have it all to do again when they are 18

Not much OS here again, bit i have been watching the thrushes flying about the garden.

happy birthday to the Halight twins, hope you all have a lovely party.

    Hi all,

nothing to report... other than I'm still marking :) Finished work about 11.45 pm again last night - having spent the day marking and the evening in the lab... *sigh* I'm sure my boss thinks I'm awol! (my office is tucked away)

Not much OS, came home, collapsed in a heap and slept :) Asda delivery due tomorrow between 8 and 10 pm. I cheated. I bought frozen things.

I bought some things from Origins with my birthday money - they are really nice. I've never used anything than a sample from them before, but I thought I'd try it out. My hands feel normal again for the first time in years! I don't think I need to get a taste for this!

Tired mum - she looks fab :) I didn't go to my leavers party when I was at school (not proms then!) but I went to a RPG event with my fellow gothic geeks instead - we had a great time! :) I did make a prom tiara for someone at works DD last year, gave me something different to do.

I am currently trying to get out of going to my graduation (again) but my mother isn't letting up this time (she was very cross I skipped the first one) This one will be worse as it's very long and complicated ceremony mainly in Latin. I really really hate these sorts of things and feel a bit cross I'm being pressured so much. OH made me go to his earlier in the year and it was a truly horrible experience.

Happy birthday to the Halight-lets :)

I left OH tidying the flat on the strict instructions he's not to do any more laundry!

    Afternoon everyone.
Weather really muggy with lots of cloud and leeeeeeetle bit of sunshine. H and my FIL are out putting up the new facias, don't envy them in this heat.
Spent the last couple of hours ordering a couple of bits and pieces off cake making sites for DD christening/1st Birthday cake. Looking forward to making it with my mum although no doubt she will turn into a perfectionist about it!!!
Been perusing some receipe books borrowing from the library (very MSE) and about to type them out.
Other than that haven't done a single OS thing <shame icon>
Need to start making a list of what food to prepare for Christening too. It's on her first birthday in a couple of weeks. I catered for DS christening and it was exhausting so want to be uber prepared this time round.

No idea what's for tea. Had a takeaway last night <insert yet another shame icon) so might stick to bangers and mash with peas and brown sauce for tonight (which was the plan yesterday).
    Have a lovely weekend.

PS. Happy Birthday to Halight's twins. Hope they have a super day!!!

Hello all, have had a recent unexpected stay in hospital admitted 2 weeks ago with chest problems all better now and back at work but was very scary as only 29!!

Today husband has gone to a family party (4hrs away) he is mad wasnt happy about him going as costs £40 in petrol but he was adamant so off he went

recent I didnt go well booked by a family to babysit for a 40th birthday party and couldnt let them down and will be paid £100 for my time so one of those things you wish you said no too but couldnt coz money is too good - its an hrs drive from home but mostly motorway then lovely countryside will give myself an extra 15mins as dont want to get lost and be late.

Today I have done the white washing and hung on line and then had to get in has rain started.

Also went shopping needed some retail therapy and ended up buying myself 2 magazines and some sweets, couldnt find any clothes I like, did by husband a new shirt in gap sale for £15 reduced from £30.

Also as husband isnt here I can have fishcakes for tea so have BE fishcakes (4 for 72p), marks spencer cheesy mash (out freezer was a reduced item at 50p few weeks ago) and beans, will have to have it at 5pm as needed to leave at 5.45pm to babysit.

then hopefully house I am babysitting at will have some lovely party food they will share with me, they did agree to feed me as babysitting 7-1 so long time with nothing to eat although I did say happy to make myself a sandwich and am not a fussy eater.

tommorow will be a long lie-in after getting home at 2am and a laze in the garden if the sun comes back - oh and more washing

    Morning all
Hope you are all well the weather here is very humid yuk so need to get on with the washing
After a very bad week things got worse yesterday as we had to go to court over OHs nans will and overpayments with estranged MIL suffice to say that it was an expensive day but at last after 4 years we never have to hear from her or her evil twin again. DD2 had to go to hospital last night as her down below swelled up so another trip thankfully all is ok they dont know what it is but nothing serious which should go of its own accord, at this point i could have cheerfully come home packed my bags driven to the airport but that wouldnt have been very money saving:D
Next week will be better and in preperation for this i have put DD1s prom pics on line
    linky here http://s168.photobucket.com/albums/u172/carajady/prom%202009/
Today is clearing up day as i seem to have been neglecting things a bit and need to go shopping
Halight hope the twins have a lovely party
    have a good day

wish I had been confident enough to go to our school prom was the first year the school had them when ours came around and I just wasnt confident enough - now I be there with bells on - ok a nice dress.
