does anyone think there offer of 750 x net any time minutes plus 1000 text for £35 can be beaten ?

bit disapointed with the responses so far.

what's the best mobile phone ?
    nothing.
  • Tom Saunders,
As I put on another thread, my friend called for his PAC and was offered the 750 xnet + 1000 texts for £28 with a free Nokia N70. Only available through retentions obviously...
...and then the window licker said to me...
  • With t mobiles flext50 plan, discounted to £37.50 you can get 762 x net minutes and 1026 texts, so yes it can be beaten. It also gives you the flexibility if you wanted to just send texts, 2550 of them, or just use the phone for x net minutes, 1275 of those.

    with Orange.

I got the 750xnet, 1000 text and a dissapointing £10 one of credit to my account but also a Nokia N70 so I suppose for Orange it is a decent deal.

    Thanks for all the replies.

    Cheers.....
    nothing.

    Tom -

I was in a similar positon a few weeks ago. I am with 02 and they offered me 750xnet mins and 750 texts for £35 and free phone. I thought it was a good deal til I saw all the posts about the Tmobile Flext 35 deal esp as its discounted to £26.25 a month. So I rang o2 back as it was still within my 14days and the guy said they couldn't match it and he could give me my PAC code now... I didn't really want to change since Tmobile coverage isn't good where I live. So I said i'd call back after I had a think about it. I called them again a few days later having decided to cancel it and went straight through to the cancellations dept. After explaining why I was leaving the girl offered me £120 credit to my account which made it £25 per month for the first 12 months and £35 for the following 6 months.

What I mean is I think you could do better and maybe its worth one final call like I made. What;s the worst that could happen?!

Sorry I find this whole thread really hard to understand.

Went straight to https://www.thelink.com (not particularly advertising that just noted a lot of flext deals last time I was on the site).

Samsung D600 free 1/2 price flext for 15 months on 18 month contract with cashbacks. Total cost 367.50, or £20.42 a month. Add a fiver for recorded delivery sending back, but then knock of £25 for going through quidco.com. So net 347.50 or £19.31 pcm.

You do not quite get 750 minutes and 1000 texts but if you require that amount you can get that deal and upgrade to flext 50, and for a net cost of £34.31 get over 750 minutes and 1000 texts and your free Samsung D600.

I think I win so far... and there are probably better deals out there if you are prepared to go down the cashback route.

Hi, you purchase the phone and pay up front for your line rental. However you send in bills back to the company and they then send you a cheque back.

    The website explains the offer.

    Offer Details
    • This offer is available via The Link Direct connections only.
    Excludes in-store purchases.
    • T-mobile will charge you the standard network line rental.
    • A further reduction to make Line Rental Half Price for 15 months is
    via redemption using this form.
    • The redemption is in three stages and must be claimed within the
    specified time to be valid.
    • For each you will need to submit a copy of your receipt, plus copies
of the network bills from the months specified, along with the
    relevant completed form.
    • During the claim period, you must not change your tariff to one that
has a lower line rental then this one.

You pay every month and you claim at months 6,9 and 12.

It's a good deal so long as you remember to claim and the company does not go bankrupt. If you use an electronic reminder service to remind you then you won't forget. I have Outlook and set up reminders and I have not missed a cashback, except when fwdcellular went bankrupt.
  • difficult to understand ?

I don't neccasarily want a redemption as it's a pain in the !!!!!!, plus I get a new phone every 12 months NOT 18. I could have gone for 18 and had £100 credited to my account but i like getting a new phone.

So how do you win ? and why are you confused /?
    nothing.
