Hi all dont know if this has been done or not before but was wondering if anyone might like to start a weekly menu thread??
Basically thought it could contain peoples weekly menu plans which would incorporate any bargains/offers and any multiple use meals (like if you bought mince and used it in different ways for more than one meal)
I am all for trying to cut down on impulse buys and plan aheadEmma

I always do a menu for the week (starting Saturday), then I write a list according to it & shop to it.
To save time really, I don't get in from work till 5.30-6.00 & I don't want to have to stop & shop on the way home as I cook from scratch every night.
I buy all my meat as well & freeze it, in the morning I take it out of the freezer to defrost while I'm at work.
I do it for time, but it must save me money too, because if I wasn't so planned & orgainised I would prob end up buying takeaways some nights & I would buy stuff I wouldn't use too, that would goo off & get chucked.
I do 1 fish, 2 veggie, 2 poultry & 2 red meat meals per week, to keep a healthy balanced diet.0 -
