I'll give it 3 months before the price increases start.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Well !!! Ntl own me. I have Broadband internet, cable digital TV, telephone and PAYG mobile with Virgin.
Can I expect a better deal now, are they giving customers with all 4 services a discount? Must say, am really happy with the service I get on my Virgin mobile, I bought a recon phone off their website for £19.99 with free next day delivery. Also Virgin just announced free texts to all other Virgin customers from April to Sept 06.keep smiling,

Alfie_E wrote:This will happen eventually. One of the key reasons for the takeover was so that ntl could offer all four services in one discounted package, the other being to get the branding. So, soon, you’ll be having four-play with a Virgin."There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children; one of these is roots, the other wings" - Hodding Carter

Yep. But, they’re only going to get the name once they start to behave like a Virgin. See, Virgin to improve customer service at NTL. This should be good news for all us suffering ntl customers. Although, that’s not going to be helping us with the imminent loss of the Freephone number to customer services, and the arrival of an 0871 number to report broadband faults. :mad:古池や蛙飛込む水の音0
