    My friend came round earlier. Very worried. Her husband is on short time and now brings home less than she does. (about double what I bring home). Her daughter is going off to Australia before going into the RAF and that is troubling her too.
    When will it ever end?

    BB - my friend became a cookery teacher about 3 years ago - she is 51 now. She loves it but it is hard during term time....she lives for the holidays

    Bookie - my OH rang me tonight and said he is worried he might not have his contract renewed in August....however, we have been there before, it didn't kill us.

    My OH will be dead of a heart attack if he worries much more!

    My ex is a teacher (well, about to become was as he is being made redundant next month) and he used to be wiped out by the time the holidays came around. It's one of the few jobs though where you are paid for 6 weeks summer holidays but the prep. work and the marking is a booger.
