Does anyone know why after installing google chrome I keep having to enter my password and username to get onto this site? Is it the site that's changed or something to do with cookies etc. I never had to keep signing in with internet explorer:confused:

Weird, because I' using Google Chrome and I've got no bother with that. If you click on the spanner, clear browsing data and then check cookies and cache, does that help?

ok well go to the spanner and go to about google chrome and tell me the first number that appears in the series of numbers in the middle of the pop up

    it will be a 1 2 or 3

then go to the spanners again(settings menu) and go to clear browsing data

make sure cookies, and saved passwords are unchecked.

however this is only if you regularly delete your history

on another note, do you use ccleaner or something similar?

  • Personally I would check the cookies to delete them, although this would mean that you will lose information that sites store on your computer such as user names and passwords, along with information about what you look for on the site. It may be a bad cookie that's causing it, but then on the downside, it might not help so you'd lose this unnecessarily!

By the way, what version are you using? I'm using version 3 beta as well, fairly stable and installing this might also help.

See here for the installation files. http://www.filehippo.com/download_google_chrome/5789/

    it is stable

only issue ive noticed is that in certain flash videos (3%) when you go full screen the controls become useless and you need to press esc to go to controls. annoying at the time but so rare. and it is a beta.

    It is very quick though.

as for cookies i know what you mean but i leave them and have no problems

besides any good AV will notice a bad cookie

No, you see I was thinking that it might be a corrupt cookie was causing the log in issues, and removing it might solve the problems.
