Ok so it is BA who have done this, but it does make interesting reading.

We've discussed this before when the times article was published, only really of interest to those who can use all the London airports.
BTW here's an example of BA's cheap flights

Yes, it is £457 return for one person in EconomyPosts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
The comparisons are a joke if you click the 23kg option. I completed the answers as I would normally when I book my flights, and all 3 airlines showed no extra charge at the bottom, but BA fares where MUCH MUCH higher than RA or EJ..
In fact, this comparison tool showed me I am much better off flying with Ryanair. Probably not what BA wanted!0 -

Yes it was discussed before but don't understand why you chose to highlight that particular fare on those dates, you could fly to Rome, Milan Turin or Bologna on those dates for under £125 return with BA and for less than £100 on other dates.
Once a Ryanair flight gets to £20, I then start to look elsewhere, never flown EasyJet but often BA to Barcelona always under £1000 -
And what are the cheaper options on that route? We've discussed this before when the times article was published, only really of interest to those who can use all the London airports.

Probably not on that route but Richw has just shown you one for £300 less, Brindisi-Bari 7 Euros each way on the train takes about 60-90 mins. Or BA, cheapest, or Easyjet to Rome, then EJ to Bari for 44Euros return.
Just wondered why you have chosen possibly the dearest BA route to imply they are expensive, when in fact they are quite competitive on some routes.0 -

Sorry Richard and Alan, got myself a bit confused between your posts. Just annoying when people assume BA will be horrendously expensive compared to RA or EJ, although in your case it obviously is !!
Hope you manage to sort out something,0 -
By playing games like that you can get cheaper fares - for example AlItalia via Rome (and no worries about what you do if you miss your flight) is £177pompeyrich wrote: »Probably not on that route but Richw has just shown you one for £300 less, Brindisi-Bari 7 Euros each way on the train takes about 60-90 mins. But it isn't comparing like with like - on this one route there is no competition at all therefore the BA flight is the cheapest direct flight0
