I'm waiting to hear from my mum. My nanna fell and has broken her leg in 2 places. She is being operated on this morning and my grandad has been taken into emergency care as he has been very unwell for a long time - he has diabetes, glaucoma and emphysaema (sp? the lung disease from working down the mines). Not good when both are in their early 80s.

    Hope they're both alright BB.

don't know bookie  I got a voicemail just as I was coming back from work last night from my mum to say it was 'today'. I think I'll give the hospital a ring, but I think if anything awful had happened I would have heard. Having worked in a hospital for years, I know that planned surgery gets shunted down the list if emergencies come in, so I've been waiting until around now to start thinking about calling.

The anaesthetic becomes an issue when we get older, neither have been well for a while, particularly my grandad. He keeps going into hospital with pneumonia (about 4 times over the last 2 years) and keeps pulling through, but the body can only keep going so long.

My week just gets better and better.

I've just had a visit from Amber's social worker, someone has complained about her, well rather about me. They have said that Amber is wandering around the streets on her own all the time. They think I throw her out of the house at the weekends from morning until night.

Abs does escape sometimes and I have asked for help with that., She also likes to go and play with the other children on the green out the back of the house, which is surrounded by houses, so is safe and I have a clear view of her all the time.

I try so bloody hard to give that little girl the best life I can, but it's never enough is it.

she hasn't been into theatre yet  well, I guess that is going to be a move to tomorrow now at the earliest, there must have been some emergencies in which is part of life in a trauma hospital but it's never good for the waiting patients. I have been told to call back around 7 when they will know more.

Possibly BB, I dunno, I'm getting to the point of being passed caring. Nothing I do is ever good enough and I'm tired.

I think it's most likely a neighbour who would rather we didn't live here. They don't like that Amber has special needs and wants to play with the other kids, they don't like that sometimes in the mornings she shouts and screams getting on the school bus, disturbing silent suburbia. They don't like that I have put a swing in the back garden or that we used to have a spa pool in there (in an effort to keep Amber entertained and to stop her escaping). They don't like that she is noisy, she laughs and chatters to herself (in her shouting voice) when she's in our garden. They just want us out of here.

omg Pepe, that is awful. :( Trucks can be un-bent, but you can't be. How are you feeling generally? I was a passenger in a 5 car accident on the M3 one morning years ago and it takes a long time to shake off.
