My week just gets better and better.

I've just had a visit from Amber's social worker, someone has complained about her, well rather about me. They have said that Amber is wandering around the streets on her own all the time. They think I throw her out of the house at the weekends from morning until night.

Abs does escape sometimes and I have asked for help with that., She also likes to go and play with the other children on the green out the back of the house, which is surrounded by houses, so is safe and I have a clear view of her all the time.

I try so bloody hard to give that little girl the best life I can, but it's never enough is it.

Maybe social services should concentrate on children who really are in need of help and will therefore avoid another baby P situation!!!!! Sorry, rant over

I remember the pre-Newbury bypass traffic. God, getting through Newbury in the early evening was awful It just took forever, me and my ex used to occasionally go to the races there.

I used to give up and go into the chip-shop just off the roundabout at the top of the hill on the Southern end of the town:D, then sit in the traffic towards Oxford all smug with a large portion in my lap:p:rolleyes:

Toto, sounds like that neighbour would have a problem living next to anyone with kids. Are they the type that never had any themselves, or whose kids couldn't wait to get away from them? I don't really know you but from what you've posted on here the last few days you're a great mum in difficult circumstances. Oh for the old days when neighbour actually helped each other instead of being all out for themselves.

Tirlittan, enjoy Glasto, I wanted to go but got confused with the ticket system. My sister's just sweet talked dad into letting us get a ticket for Leeds festival on his credit card, so I'm going there again. I've got my half of the money saved, but couldn't afford her half. Hopefully the weather'll be good for you!

BB, really hope your grandparents are ok. Hospital timings remind me of the line from Pirates of the Caribbean, they're more 'guidelines' than actual times.

Although in good news - they've done studies recently and dealys of up to 48 hours wait for hip fractures doesnt lead to increased risk of mortality - although it does lead to increased risk of minor complication (which isnt surprising recently)...

(study done in Canada but on lots of patients so should be reasonably reliable :))
