I have just call my bank again and thry are still telling me i need a court cert to remove the marker.
Any advice on this would be brilliant0 -
Court Cert costs £60 from the court you petitioned at (or in some cases if on certain benefits FREE)
would a letter from the Reciver not count? they'll write to inform of discharge for nothingWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
I have just been to another branch of barclays and seen the Manager. She phone the debit managment dept and the on-line dept, both said you needed a cert of discharge(cost 60.00).I asked the manager to show me in writing on the web site which she could not do.She then went onto an internal site which showed that unless you are discharged one cannot have internet banking, even if you are told you can,you have to produce a letter from the OR stating date of discharge(Free of Charge)So it does show that in barclays the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.0

i applied online before being discharge and got a barclays cash card, once discharged i applied for chip+pin connect visa card and got the online banking too
i see barclays have made good profits, must be all the bankrupts joining up...
i think i may have shown my local branch my OR letter of discharge, i certainly didnt pay £60 for a BR certificate.0 -
I thought that even once discharged, barclays would not provide an on-line facility.
am i wrong ?0 -
Sorry but you are wrong. You need to show proof of discharge to get the "bankruptcy marker "removed.
Its taken 5 phone calls to barclays they hung up on me this morning after being passed from person to person for 45 mins,3 long visits to my branch in london and one final one to my local branch. To get all this correct info.0 -

Just taken my ED letter to my branch who said they couldn't remove the marker, but they have sent a certified copy of it off to the legal team who apparently can remove the marker. We'll see what happens!!BR 08/04/09 | ED 02/10/09
