I use a shoe with a rubber sole:p Works in the same way, I also use a rubber curry comb (horse) to scrape the carpet in the bathroom as we have laminate everywhere else

Definitely recommend either the rubber glove method, or putting on your trainers, and doing a weird kind of moodwalk type affair to scrape off all the cat hair. You can get a scary amount of hair out this way....

I have a perpetual problem with bunny hair. I have a beautiful dwarf lop houserabbit who sheds hair constantly (despite brushing) - I even see little tumbleweeds of hair drifting past occasionally! It is very fine hair that clings to everything.

I ordered a thing called the 'gonzo pet hair remover' which is a sort of rubbery sponge thing which seems to work very well and can be washed.

It does cost a fiver (postage £1) but I think it'll probably last indefinitely and I've already spent a fortune on other things to try and sort it !

    I ordered it from here

  • Thanks for all the suggestions!
At least now when I'm cleaning I might see a bit more progress - one of the cats literally walked around in a cloud of hairs, leaving layers on everything she touched and tumbleweeds/snowdrifts of hair!

No windows where the carpet is so I can put the trainers on, stick some music on and moon-walk away!

This may seem completely mad, and a bit late as they have new homes, but a friend of mine was seriously allergic to everything inc cats and wanted one. She decided to try it, for two weeks she sneezed and scratched. After that she was fine. Cat ended up being called 'Tish' because she made her sneeze so much at first. That was 8 years ago, she now has 2 housecats :)
One day I might be more organised...........
