Blowing the motherboard is harder than you think! As long as you take precautions to discharge static then theres little risk at all. I've build 100's and only trouble I ever have is from an odd duff motherboard / memory module. Building a computer nowadays is like one of those childrens toys, where you have a star, a square and circle and they have to put it in the same shaped hole. Nearly everything on a motherboard will only fit in one way making it impossible to plug something in wrong (unless you force it in). Only thing you need to get right is the order in which you do it.

Practice on an old PC from freecycle! Dismantle completely then put back together. Process will be very similar even on a 7-8 year old PC.

It does look easy. But i think it's best me getting a pre built one. Then in future adding parts which will get my confidence in building one in the future.

All i have todo now is choose a monitor, if it's same hassle as deciding on my computer, then im going to get drunk hilst looking:D

I spotted that, but when adding the GPU and OP system it comes to around £20 more. Plus with Cyberpower you get a free t-shirt, game & bag:D load of junk, but it's all free so can't moan.

Also which i find is forgotten too easily is the 3yr warranty with Cyberpower, i can't find another site that offers that without charging you a bomb.

This is a great website that allows people to do surveys and build up their points, after saving up for a while you'll be able to buy a lot of prizes, mostly for games, some prizes are for US only and some are codes that will be e-mailed to you.

I think you'll have a nice machine there...when you're ready to give overclocking a try (if ever) there's loads of advice on how to do it..
Next job is to get it ordered..and then cry in 6 months time when everything is 2/3rd of todays price :D

...but there is never a 'good' or 'bad' time to buy

But by then there will be something "new" for us to waste our money on :D , the I7 will be discontinued & me & joe pesci will be sneered at for having "museum pieces"!

Don't you just love computing :)
