Give this thread enough time and every lender in the UK, big or small, good or bad, will eventually appear.
Every business in the UK has their element of disgruntled customers.
That's not the point of this thread. [TEXT DELETED].
I think I watched the news report on the secret millionaire guy. I don't think he was aware that that was happening though? Do you have example of the trading names under Richmond Group, Nathan?0 -
Found another scam in the Metro newspaper:
Chkr Loans
Loan n Go0 -
The people who work at Yes Loan are a bunch of wa**ers. They are so rude and unprofessional. They are the biggest scamsters of them all. I thought since they had adverts on tv for their car credit they would be legit. Boy was I wrong!
Is anyone familiar with Financial Plus? I just had a letter for them asking for only £10...0 -
dont get me started about yes loans. i called them up to ask a few questions and polite enough as i was they hung up on me! rude!0

I had the rudest call i've ever encountered by someone from larrytheloanbroker.co.uk. I called back as I hadnt heard from them in about a week and a nice lady called Debbie said that someone would return my call.
The gentleman who returned my call was so unbelievably rude. I asked him who was calling as I could not hear him and wanted to know where he was calling from. He said "well you've made so many applications to loan companies you have got yourself confused" I said "No, I haven't my details have been passed from company to company" (which seems to be common practice by these companies) and he shouted "Yes, you have!" I said "hang on there is no need to be rude, i'm just trying to find out where you are calling from" he said "to put it simply for you, larrytheloan broker and (another company name he mentioned which I cannot remember) cannot help you" and hung up the phone.
Absolutely terrible, he made me feel so angry! I wanted to call back and shout at him but I was just on my way to Ireland, booooo0 -

Ok, I just seen on another thread to avoid them. They have no address, but they are clever because £10 is not much money to process an application0 -
Ha, I just had a call from Harrington Brooks (Allclear Finance). The guy sounded nice enough, I almost fell for it! Plus the website is really good too...0

Hi
Has anyone heard of or encountered 'Everyday' loans, had them ring me up the other day claiming that they do not request an upfront admin fee, and you go into their office to pick up loan cheque.
I was wondering if they were woth going with????0 -
I applied with Yes Loans back on 1st April 2009, they took the £69.00 Admin fee from me it is now 1st July and they still havent found me a loan. Also this was the first company I contacted and to my amazement there was a charge to a company called Carter & Carter on my bank statement for £99.99 which I did not authorise so I contacted my bank and thankfully they have reimbursed me with this amount AVOID WITH ALL MEASURES0

As said before
Don't go with a company who charge you money to apply for a loan...
Legally, these companies can only charge £5.00, so all those who have paid the £50, get it back.
