Had the dreaded dentist this morning. The one thing I dread more than anything. I walked in their shaking and then broke down. How stupid am I??? They must have thought I was a right nutter! To be fair to him though he was such a lovely man. Apparently I have an infection AND probs with my wisdom tooth all rolled into one  He has referred me to the hospital to have a tooth took out and to look at the wisdom tooth too. But he did say that the waiting list is long and could take up to 6 MONTHS!! I have been given antibiotics to hopefully take the infection and pain away
I then have to go back and see the dentist in February again.
My total fear of dentists has to be overcome to sort my teeth out. I have vowed to conquer and promised myself to keep it up next year and every year thereafter!!
Am planning to pop into town and hopefully get a few more bits for xmas as I saw some when I was with my son (typical!) so hoping they are still there today!
That's exactly what I had wrong with my teeth at the beginning of this year and it did take 6 months to see the hospital. However (and it's not much comfort) but you will get used to the pain and it wont be as bad after a while. I ended up knowing what I could eat and not eat, which bit of my mouth to avoid etc. You may find it flares up when you're tired, ill or stressed, but at least you'll get it sorted soon xx0 -

Thanks Yukki, Can you get used to the pain?? I am hoping that the antibiotics help a bit. I tried to use mouthwash this morning! how stupid was that!
I know what you mean about eating, it is so wierd to eat on the other side of your mouth.
Some days are ok and others are unbearable so I guess I'll have to work out what triggered it.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

To be honest I found some mouthwashes to help, and then I reasoned that if I used an antibacterial one then I would help prevent the infection from getting worse. The antibiotics will def help and you should be pain free in a few days. I had a large blister on my gum when I had mine and that was painful, but I think I got that because I slept with a hot water bottle on my face one night and it drew out some of the infection. (don't do that!)
Your yearly targets are fantastic btw.0 -
Ah Pammy,
Dentists aren't really my thing either. I had to have a broken tooth extracted when my DS2 was only a few weeks old, and he made a hash of it, broke a bit off and left it in my gum and spent so long twisting it about the numbing jab wore off and he left blisters all over the inside of my lips. Horrible. I hadn't thought i was scared until i went to my current dentist and needed a filling replaced and i was sat there literally shaking.
I bet they were really understanding. Not like they want you to be upset, and you try to keep brave don't you but it is not good.
I hope your wait is less than 6 months.
Excellent money income this month. I have been working hard on onepoll and getting about 80p per day if i am lucky, though not every day. I just keep popping in every hour or so. There are not enough hours to do it all though are there.
Let me know when you get back to dooyoo love. I've not seen you over there for ages.0 -

lilac - after the day you had with your two i am not doing any butt kicking. Especially not a pregnant lady. Gentle encouragement only.
I'm trying to really up my game on dooyoo. I want to get up to £50 before christmas so it will come in January. I am at about £22 at the minute.0 -
I have just lost my mojo on dooyoo, its too time consuming for little reward.
I just felt an idiot shaking and getting upset and then I had to wait in the waiting room so I could go and have an xray so my face was all blotchy. I was so embarrassed by the whole thing and they didnt even do anything today! I'm mortified!
Thanks for all your comments.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I am just in that blah stage.... 12 days or something until move, last mortgage payment is to be made on Wednesday and i will be internetless for a non specified time scale as of next thursday so i'm just bored I think. Logically I know every penny now will benefit new house and new mortgage but I just can't get out the rut
Move will help
.
Anyway Pammy I hate the dentist tooA good one is worth his weight in gold. oraldene is a good mouthwash for keeping infection at bay, not cheap at £3 a bottle but worth it for lack of pain/tenderness.
