well my reasoning was that I keep seeing the end of season argos advert so I thought they might have some good stuff for the kids for xmas as its all extra stock unsold. Is that justifiable GG :D

Maybe I should come with you & carry your purse just in case ;). TBH I've never found anything of any use in there, you can occasionally be lucky with large electrical items I think, but not really any cheaper than you can get online if you trawl around.

I have found that sometimes it looks like you are getting a great price but they have put the FULL rrp on there to make it look that way so you have to really know how much things are really before you get sucked in. I have got a few good buys from there before but its always hit and miss.

I don't know whats best in exchange rate, but it saves changing it back. We try to bring some home for the next holiday. We went to Belek All inc, so only used money for DH paper everday and hired a car to go to cable car up the mountains. We only took euros and it was fine. On site they asked if you are paying in euro or dollars. The british seam the minority in Turkey, it's mainly french, duch and the russians.

I live near Silverstone now so it's a bit busy over here today
Sew it, knit it, glue it, reuse it , don't buy it

    OH DEAR!!!

I decided as a mser to cut my daughters hair after reading on here how to do it easily...well it went a bit wrong and I have had to cut it a bit shorter than I wanted to. I knew I shouldnt have attempted it especially with our holiday looming. But she wanted it really short anyway so she is happy. Its like a bob now and she is growing her fringe out so its almost at the same level :o
Wont be doing that again, I think the main problem was my scissors werent sharp enough.

I bought DD a soap making kit from the charity shop, brand new and unused, she is over the moon with it and we have been making soaps this afternoon (after we had been to the park)

had a NSD day today but now have one lonely little apple sitting in the fruit bowl haha. my nsds have been virtually non existant this month, its shocking.

  • Hi Pammy my DD is 5 and i have always cut her hair, its just so hard to get her to sit still when i am doing it! I try to make it like a game, pretending she is going to the hairdressers. My DDs hair has a wave in it, so thankfully any mistakes arent obvious :D.
My NSDs have been none existant lately aswell :(

have done 2 dooyoo reviews and been rating a few here and there. Have not had any mojo to do surveys today.

bought uniform today, so thats another £46 winging its way out of my bank :(

I was so proud of my DD at swimming today, she was fantastic. She moved up a level and so had to swim lengths today. She is only 8 and she was in with the older kids and was veyr worried. She didnt need to be, she was blooming brilliant and she came out with such a smile on her face, she really enjoyed it and was overtaking some of the other kids.

Had some upsetting news today, my 16 year old son has decided that he isnt coming on holiday with us, he has just got a full time job at his dads factory and cannot take time off now, he starts tomorrow and I have only been told this today with only 13 days before we go away!! I am so upset you wouldnt believe!!! Have asked my sister if she wants to come instead but she doesnt have a passport yet  I thought this would be the last holiday he came on with us but he cant even manage that! I know he is growing up but I cant stop feeling really upset about it all. Its like he is cutting us out of his life completely.

I dont know how I am going to get past this.
