am going to look through quidco tonight and hopefully there are some no spend clicks I can do. Although they have messed up with my password and the renewal thing isnt working, they are trying to rectify it but its now costing me money :(

Also gonna look at getting cheaper house and contents insurance and if going through quidco then even better.

Oh and just to add I did my will online today. I only really have my house and i did it for free. Not sure how good it is but I have just left it to the children to have between them when they are 21 (18 is too young to grasp the enormaty of money I think)
I want to ask, if you havent told anyone that you have a will how do people know you have one? and in fact who to go to for it?

You'll need to get someone to sign it as being written by you and that it is your last will and testament. Ours' are with our solicitor so relatives have details of who holds them, as I do for my father. If you are doing it yourself then I think you can store it and provide details of where it is kept (secure). Bank storage would be about £20-25 per year so you need to look carefully.

Having said house passes to children at 21, have you identified how it is held until then via your executor of the will? Any specific heirlooms to note as well and who should receive can be covered in the will too.

How does it work? Sorry if I sound dumb but i have no clue :o My eldest is 15 and my youngest is 6 so a difference in age. Do they sell the house, pay off any debts etc, funeral costs and then the rest of the estate goes in an account until they are each old enough. It says they have recommended a solicitors firm to deal with it free so do they sort that out and then the kids claim their money when its time?
I didnt name an executor as I dont have any one that could do that for me really.
I have nothing else special to hand down so no problems there. Nothing like that in my family!!!!

Thank you for your assistance. I clearly a novice to this sort of thing. :(

    * Another thing to add to my diary - I have started a £2 tube which I have a few in so far and hoping that I dont have to dip into it and can add a few more by the end of the year. I have done a coppers, 5p, 10p, 20ps for a while but cashed them in a while back so not much in them at the moment.

    * Quidco is still not sorted out :(

right comps done for the evening, still no luck this month :( and am off to bed shattered.

Quidco is finally sorted :D have sorted out and changed my home insurance and going through quidco have (hopefully) earned £49.50 and also got my payments down by £20!!!! I think this is mostly because I have never really looked into my monthly payments since ex went and he was still on the old policy and he was a smoker etc.
doing it as sole occupier makes it slightly cheaper and I have put the contents at a reasonable amount.

So another monthly saving so next month I will save £24 (DS2 trampoline club) + £18.20 (canx DD forgot about deleting) + £21 (difference in home insurance payments) = £63.20!!!!!!!!
I am flabbergasted by that! I reallly am!

I really hope I havent missed anything in the small print in the new policy (knowing my luck!)

Oh and DD won her 1st prize in her name today so I let her have it (a wii game :D) i think in future things like that will be kept for xmas pressies (if I can get them past the kids without seeing) but at last my comp win has started!!!

well have been doing quidco the last couple of days and so far this month (if they all track) it should be about £130! but they wont be paid out for a few months.

Am about to start my journey into claiming huge PPI payments but I was with Paragon and they seem like they dont back down easily. I dont really want to pay a company to do it but if they get results then maybe thats the way to do it.

next month will be a bad payout for me as my car tax is due which is about £185!!!! so not sure if i can o/p in July :(

I think you can find good references in the local library and possibly online from the CAB etc? I misunderstood originally that you'd done the will "on your own" but it looks like you've used a service?

The usual position with children is to name guardians for them should you die before they are adults. This should avoid complications, but I guess their father would be first?

yes i used an online free service who then allocate a solicitor to draft it up. their fathers have been named as guardians. who looks after the money though as I wouldnt want them to touch it!

not doing good on the no spend days this weekend as we went to a church summer fete and I bought a load of plants for £3 :D, one plant on its own would have cost me that so I love these types of stalls, really cheap plants. Have planted them all out tonight. (with the other 2 i got from the school fayre friday ;))
    sorry a bit off track
then today went to a local village fete thing for the annual duck race, quite amusing seeing over a 1000 rubber ducks floating down the river, so had to buy icecreams as it was a very hot day! but kept the kids amused for a few hours and found another place we can go for free for an afternoon out.

had a good day at tesco with my mocs today, only spent 88p and got 150 points (£6 in deals) and £4 of stock for carboot! the daily mail mocs are fab!

Need to post my PPI letter tomorrow although i feel like its a waste of time and effort!

I really want to be able to see things likes this as well.

Mine (with halifax) just shows o/s balance, which is updated once a month.

Also shows the monthly payment, of which mine is ~£200 off

Would be good to see things like daily and accruing interest.

Heard somewhere companies are getting a lot of request to make all this info available online. I think they dont WANT us to be able to see things like we actually pay £20.76 interest per day
    Mortgage started May 08 @ £144,499 for 35 yrs:eek: Must get mortgage sub £100k by xmas 2011

    Current balance/total OPs/total interest saved/months saved
    £111,000.00/£27,336.40/£96,025.57/156
