Arrgghh, DS in trouble at school again. :(

He was in a bad mood this morning, but managed to get him there on time and fairly calm. I'm at a loss to know what to do next with him. School are now saying they are going to contact CAMHS because he's been saying some worrying things about wanting to blow the school up. As he is 8 and doesn't have access to explosives, I'm pretty confident he's not going to, and he's just letting off steam.

I don't know how to stop him saying this sort of thing. Think they expect me to have a miracle cure sometimes.

back from seeing Charlie. Just finishing shovelling weetabix into my mouth at break neck speed and am off to my class for the afternoon.

My ex is on a school trip to day and he left me a note to ask if I'll take Charlie out twice as he won't be back until 10. That's not a problem but it is an extra half an hour of something else to squeeze into my day!

    Back later.

Oh Snaggles :grouphug: I know I've not been here but it sounds to me like the school is not really supporting you and DS - are they seriously honestly alarmed at an 8 year old saying something like that? :( how sad.

My mum had to get my brother from school once after he was pretending to have tourettes - the stupid school didn't know that this was the day after a programme about a boy with tourettes was on, he was just copying and they were SO thrown by it, completely unable to manage him, that's one small example that popped into my mind, there are so many more, as a result she sent me to a different school... sorry for ramble, just came to mind.

Snags...that school really need a kick up the backside. Children who hate school/teachers and want to let off steam would say that. Ive said on more than one occasion I wish I could set fire or blow something up....better watch out the men in white coats and Police will be coming to get me soon, !!!!!! they need to use their common sense a bit more!
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

It's something like 'children and adolescent mental health service'. He has aspergers syndrome so he has seen them before anyway, they're the people who diagnosed him. I don't mind them contacting them to be honest, but I just know there's not much else that can be done, apart from going down the medication route.

    Just hate feeling so helpless!

Oh me too Sally, I love gadgets, that's why I mentioned it on here and not on the running thread as I know Becky doesn't like them :D

I'm all at a loss now. DH and I were supposed to be going to a posh do for his work this weekend, but we found out last night that he had double booked and is supposed to be taking his son to the Bruce Springsteen thingy in London, so the posh do is cancelled. I am now currently studying runners world to see what 5 or 10ks are around this Sunday and maybe see if there are any spaces left

Actually I love gadgets :D:D, useful ones is all :p

I train in a different way to you guys though so I dont need a garmin - I just do what I feel and roughly guess the distance and then measure it afterwards - I do splits on my watch anyway so its easy enough :D

If you want one buy one - dont let me put you off I am mad :D
