Not much going on here today. But the rest of the week will be a bit busy as its the twins first birthday on sunday and we are going them a party on saturday night. so we will have stuff to sort out for that.
We had a silver side joint of beef yesterday for dinner but i was not inpressed with it at all. I know that we had it on the cheep from the co-op it was only £2.99 instead of £5.49 but buy the time it had come out of the oven it was only harf its size and it was very tuff too. Its the first time that we have had a joint that we were not happy with from co-op thay are normaly very Good. Still therse things happen.
Luch today will be cheese and crackers.
Dinner tonight will be home made pizza and chips:j:T:j
My wife always makes a good pizza
Also yesterday we gave the windows a good clean with lemon and white vinigor.
anyway i hope that you all have a great day

Its gone very dull here it was lovely half an hour ago, hope it cheers up a bit later.
I've got a couple of loads of washing to do from our few days away.
Had a quick breakfast just cereals, lunch is a salad sandwich but no idea yet whats for Dinner tonight
Off shopping for the 2 mums and us later when the first load is done,
Had a lovely few days down at the caravan, O I just love it, I am getting used to living in a smaller space now, less cleaning:rolleyes: its a tourer stored down there, and it will go on a permanent seasonal pitch next year, OH isnt keen on towing, and if I did :eek:we would never get anywhere
Did'nt manage to get the awning up but hopefully will next time, now that should be a :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Havent read through the last few days yet but will later.
Essex - that car boot sounds awful,
sistercas - good luck at the dentist x
PenPin - hope all goes well at the hospital. I bought myself a new lap top earlier this year and it seems to be taking ages to get used to it, probably because I havent had time to just play about with it yet. Its Vista and like you I have only ever used XP, but I'll get used to it
Aussie - good luck at the bingo

We are off to the beauticians in a bit for DD1s nails and eyelash extensions hopefully the expense will stop soon as we are running out of money had to empty the £pot to pay some bills today
Anyhoo hope you all have a good day0 -
Morning all :j It's pretty damp & grey here too so I won't be outside much today. It's warm as well though so the washing will dry on the clothes airers. I've dusted upstairs, cleaned the bathroom, wiped all the doors up there & cleaned the paintwork on the stairs so I'm having a few mins on here to cool down :rotfl: Then I'll do the same downstairs plus hoovering & mopping.
Dinner this evening is chicken/ham pasta salad using the remains of the chicken from yesterday. I'll also start on DS2's birthday cake ready for tomorrow. He wants a chocolate affair & I thought I'd decorate it with grated white & dark choc & maltesers
Penny Pincher Good luck at the hospital xx
Essexgirl How awful at the car boot
Tiredmum The expense does end eventually with prom stuff honestWe did it all last year with DD. It felt like a wedding at times!
Halight I now cook beef topside/silverside joints in the slow cooker as I also found they shrank & were tough
Have a good day all I'd better get back to my cleaning!0 -

PP - Good luck at hospital x
Its my 2 rest days now thank goodness, so time to catch up on all the housework that has accumulated from last week. It kind of go's to pot a bit on my long week!
Washing machine is on with its first load, think there is another one to go after that. Also need to iron (yuk, my most hated job).
Need to order my car tax online as well, as it runs out the end of this month. Only £35 for 12 months, as when I bought my car last year I made sure it was one with low emissions. :j
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Bitsy Beans how is the childminding going?
Its still quiet. I had a mother come and see me a couple of weeks ago. She only needs 8 hours a week from Spetember but given how demanding my DD is being at the moment that's probably more than enough for me to cope withI've just actually rung her to see if she's still interested so cross your fingers that she is.
Oh and I've put my washing out and it's now doing that silly fine drizzle. Can't be bothered to bring it in againI just hope it stops soon.......

Sistercas - Good luck at the Dentists - I hate them too!
PenPin - Hope the hospital goes OK.
Halight - I second the cooking beef in the slowcooker - the cheaper joints always seem to come out best that way.
Essex-Girl - I really need to do another car boot, but DH hates them! and I don't want to do it alone. I told him I would give everything to charity shop instead if he gets a weekend's overtime instead and gives me the money LOL! - but he hasn't managed to get any OT yet...
OS-wise had a good weekend - lots of cleaning on Sat, esp. the kitchen which has needed a good 'deep clean' for ages, and lots cooking yesterday, incl. roast pork with spuds & loads veg, leeks in cheese sauce, bread pudding, rhubard crumble with fresh rhubarb from MIL's garden.
Got to make a lemon-drizzle cake tonight to take to work tomorrow, as it is my birthday and so I get to bring in cake for the guys!
Still seething about the DSK's generally and father's day in particluar - will find time to write rationally about it later if I can........The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

Hermoine The pasties are just mashed potato & pumpkin, boiled egg, chopped onion, salt & pepper, peas, 1/2 teas mixed herbs. (can add bacon) Put a few spoonfuls on pastry and make into a pastie shape. Brush with milk & cook until brown. I also froze leftover mixture for another night.
Had 2 wins at Bingo.Still pouring with rain. DS2 rang while I was out. He was to come home Saturday but has to work now. He's ringing tomorrow. Apparently I've got to see if I can get his tickets credited  for another time & to book some concert tickets in Sept. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

She's just rung to say before and after school club now have a full time space for her child. So no work for me. Again.
Someone explain why I am bothering with this???? I can't compete with the school childcare and there seems no work elsewhereI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
