Thanks again greenbee for the oven cleaning tips - I am off to Morrisons at lunch time for soda crystals, usually have them as well. Do you make the bicarb paste with water? Daft question I know?

OH is coming down early tonight, as much as I love seeing him it means less time for me to do my cleaning stint tonight, will maybe send him to the pub for an hour to leave me to it!

Have a great cleaning day everyone x

    Mornin All,
Hope you all well and happy this morning. Toots - hope you feel better asap.
Got home from work yesterday and spent until just after 11 cleaning!! OH was his usual pointless self, stood watching whilst I changed the bed then announced he was off down the pub. I definately need to have a serious think about where our relationship is heading, at the moment it's down the loo!! Feel like a housekeeper or his mother most of the time, and we've got his kids this weekend so the house will look like a bombs hit it by Sunday evening and no doubt he'll do bo**ock all about it. Apologies for moaning.
    Anyhoo, couple of stars please

So far this morning I have manged to do 2xWM, 1x hung out, make the beds, put kids out to school (not looking forward to these next 7 weeks:rolleyes:) and finish off my list. All I need to do now is wash up, s/s the kitchen and a quick run round the livingroom and hall and I can get my books out. I have decided to ask my tutor for an extention rather than stress myself out about it. Oh just remembered I need to check ebay my aunt borrowed a pattern from a friend took it with her to a wool shop to get what she needed. 'Nice' lady behind the counter commented on how lovely the pattern was, auntie sat it down on the counter to pay for goods got chatting to a friend and walked out and left it! When she noticed and called the shop the lady said she didn't know anything about it and doesn't remember her being in there????????? So I'm bidding on the pattern on ebay as you can't buy it any more. What a palava.

Morning everyone. Im a bit like a bear with a sore head this morning. Next door have been up all night. Up and down the stairs, doors banging and stuff being moved around. Its not a usual occurance so going to wait and see what happens tonight. Saw the son going out earlier with his mate and girlfriend. He has just come back and sounds like he has gone to bed. Im going to leave the spare room till tomorrow though as I need to go out. Might start it at 8 o clock in the morning.

Hi toots - glad toxic was helpful when she called.
Now behave yourself and rest :naughty:

You know when you buy something electrical and they say to keep the box and packaging in case it needs repair?

How long would you keep it?

Blimus - well done on doing your toiletries challenge - its amazing what we have lurking! I know someone else who could do that - dont I Jo! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lol :rotfl:- Yes you do! I was going to reply to Blimus myself....but I must admit.....and Toots you will laugh at this......when it comes to throwing out 100 things - it has honestly, hand on heart, never even crossed my mind to throw anything away from any of my toiletry drawers and cupboards. I throw out clothes, broken toys, and carp - but never toiletries.

For the newbies who dont know, I have 2 drawers in each of my bedside tables which are all full of toiletries, lotions and potions. My top drawer of my 5 drawer chest is also full of make up, toiletries, etc. I have a tallboy next to the chest of drawers and both shelves in that cupboard are full - as well as my bathroom.

I have done the 100 day challenge and am pleased to announce that I bought NOTHING!!!!! :j I used up loads and loads of stuff and in fact finished another bottle of bubble bath last night. :T

My 100 days finished on the 10th June and the only thing I have bought since then was shampoo and conditioner - which I really really needed (and I bought some Australian Miracle Leave in Conditioner too which wasnt essential, but I wanted it for ages and it was my treat for finishing the 100 days) :o

Anyway - I havent joined the next 100 day challenge officially, but I have definately changed my ways about buying toiletries generally. Ive still bought nothing else and dont intend to unless i have used ALL of a certain item and really really need it - no more treats either. :D

    Evening all

And Jo it wasn't thoughtless of you at all, potentially or otherwise. I am really enjoying the book This is a double edition with 'If you could see me now' I am presuming that is the follow on book. I haven't seen the film and had no idea it had ben made into a film. I shall have to keep an eye out for it.

Yes - the film is very different from the book though..... but it has Gerard Butler in it, so its still worth watching. Hilary Swank plays Holly. Kathy Bates is her mum.....theres a few famous people in it actually. Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe from Friends) plays her crazy friend Denise.

The film in set in New York, not Dublin. I have the DVD at home. If youd like to borrow it - I can send it to you......Or if you have Sky movies, its been on there recently so you can look out for it coming on again.

If you could see me now - I havent read it, but I got really excited when I thought there was a follow-on story and I googled it! Unfortunately, it isnt a follow on - its a different story. But Im sure it will be enjoyable, let me know if its worth the reading when you have finished and I may buy that next!

Ive only caught up with some of the thread - I stopped when I got to Toots post. So Im off to catch up with the thread.

Flying wise - I put a load more [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] stuff on freecycle. Cleaned the bathroom - then lit candles and had a bath...... :D I managed to declutter my child off to a friends house for tea so i got peace and quiet and made the most of it.

I had a quick tidy up of my bedroom again as it was covered in 'Ebay' stuff! Lit my tart burner with some 'Water Garden' and put on the 'City of Angels' Soundtrack and went in the bath........it was fab - sooooooo relaxing.

Then the little one came back, came into my room and decided it smelt 'weird in here'. Didnt stop the little toerag from wanting to sleep in my bed!

Off to catch up on the thread..... xx
