    Hurrah!

The parcel has just arrived. I am no longer trapped! To celebrate I'm going to take a drive out to Tesco...

You really know how to live it up don't you

    Congrats Kaz

Hex - you aren't over reacting at all. She should be looking after her children regardless of any problems they have - and hopefully helping them to cope and understand how to behave in these situations. Otherwise how can they learn? It may explain why they get bullied.

Work update - I definitely haven't got the job that replaces mine. The size of the team has been increased, and three of them have got roles. One of them I have told to go ahead with his external applications, as I think the new manager will want him to keep doing what he's already doing, which won't help his development. I've been shortlisted for two roles, one of which I didn't want (which I knew about yesterday - interview is tomorrow) and another which came through this evening. I'm more interested in the role, but have to keep reminding myself that it will still be the same management team, and I don't want to work for them!

Interestingly, although they have said that those people who have been given offers will get letters from HR soon, there is no information on what happens to those people who haven't had offers (we're all being encouraged to apply for alternative roles within the organisation) - we haven't been told when our current roles will cease to exist. We know that there will be a transition period, but they're talking about TWO MONTHS!!! so presumably we won't formally be put at risk until this is over. I really don't want to have to spend two months teaching someone to do a job that I'm perfectly capable of doing myself!

So I need to finish version one of my CV tonight and send it out for review, and then start work on the others. I need a commercial version (nearly done), a compliance version and a risk management version.

Right... I suppose I should go and get the washing in before it starts getting damp!

Evening everyone.Have really enjoyed my `me` day. It took me about 40 mins to walk to the village by the cycle paths. Enjoyed a walk along the prom, had lunch then walked back to meet DD. Reckon Ive done about 8 miles. Been to SW and have lost 1 and a half pounds. Now im off to get changed and start the kitchen.

I'm glad you managed a 'me' day Boddy - you deserve one - it sounds a nice walk you did and well done on the weight loss....

    What she said ^^^^^^

It's even hotter here this evening than it was this afternoon. The slightly cooling breeze has dropped. I think we're in for a sticky night.

DS has set his phone up but there are problems. It may need a replacement. ~sigh~

Have watered the garden veg again and am now doing dinner of fish, salad and new potatoes - it's too hot to do anything else!
