Hi Toots,
thanks for remembering hun, you are so good at that. DS has a two week taster at the college (CEME in Dagenham, they take you to Silverstone, Brands Hatch etc for race days, training, etc, so that's probably where you got that from) starting 6th July, if he's good, well behaved, listens, tries hard, etc then he is in - they'll help him improve any exams he's taken with bad results, but he seemed to do really well actually - revised before each one and everything (not much, but big improvement on before). He also passed the City & Guilds plastering course he was taking at the college - didn't think he would get there after he was thrown out he! but they were excellent and let him back to finish it all off - really proud of him at the moment...

The fair looks to have been a great success, we left before the end but most stalls were sold out and the cake/virtual cake competition was great with 40 virtual cakes entered :rotfl:
Freecycler has been and collected FF, now listed the upright freezer, some dining chairs, kids trike and boys first bike, woohhooo I'm on a roll.
Miss A and W have purchased/won all sorts of 'treasues' at the fair! Oh No not more [STRIKE]carp [/STRIKE]treasures:eek::eek:
DW unloaded and reloaded, WM on. Going to clear the lounge floor and then do a bit on the RoD
Flower well done to Ds - plastering is a difficult thing (well I think) it will come in handy when you are decorating or when your business gets bigger and you do renovating! I hope the new college is a huge success and he gets in - is the 2 weeks residential or are you near enough to travel?
must go get tea organised for the carer coming in. back later.

I have cleared the paperwork mountain, all that needs keeping had been found a permanent home and DS1 is shredding anything that needs doing - much to his intense pleasure.

ETA - Toots - shrink that list NOW please
^^^^^^^^^What she said - that's massive Toots and you would nag us like mad about it!
I need to do some of the bits on my little list .................
Hi Froddy, hope you're OK
Not really sure about websites to explain to kids - I know when we found out about DS we obviously had to speak to both kids and if I remember rightly, we expained about DS having a defect brain and being a bit dim - no, of course we never said that - sorry, couldn't resist. Actually, we said the virtually the opposite - that DS had an overactive brain, he was very clever but that he couldn't cope with all that was going on in his brain so it made him get bored easily. This was because he was always thinking one step ahead and wanted to move on to the next thing quickly. This might mean that people didn't understand him and he might get into trouble a bit as you were supposed to concentrate on something for a good length of time usually, especially at school, but that he was to be patient with these people and not argue with them (one of the main reasons DS was always in trouble - he had to be right all the time and they don't see themselves as being wrong for something they see as normal behaviour) - especially teachers, and that he was to try to think about what he was doing and work at the same pace as everyone else. If his mind did start wandering, he was to try counting to 10 and going back to what he should be doing so that he didn't get into trouble for something that he couldn't help. (the counting didn't work with DS by the way, so you could get them to try their own techniques for this maybe - we have tried quite a few things but DS gave up early on, and I am afraid to say so did I a bit as it is quite hard work and when your working lots, easier to shout - bad mother I know, but these wern't good times)
Does that make sense? not sure it does, but kids sort of know and asking them you will be amazed what they come up with (or not in your case)

Yes, very proud of him, he's already plastered around my aunts window and part of her wall for her - he did a great job. Hope I get big enough to employ him - would love to do renovations on our own properties - not to be for [strike]quite a while[/strike] years I think.
Not residential I'm glad to say - it's a train, then the underground then they run a college bus direct, about 20 minutes by car, about 40-50 minutes by public transport I think (we're going to do a dry run next week to make sure of timings)
