Afternoon everyone. I feel a bit more human today after my lack of sleep. It was quiet next door last night. Im now thinking my neighbour has been on a high. She has mental health probs. It sounded like she was cleaning and moving furniture. Just like the thing though I woke at 2.30am and didnt get back over till 4am. Been out shopping this morning. Then went to hairdressers with DD. She hasnt had a good haircut for ages and I said I would pay for her. She is over the moon. When she came in she has given me a lovely little card. Its a poem called My Angel Mum. I was really touched.

Toots Love the sound of your chair. I bet it is really comfortable.
Triker I love Scotland and have family there. I have always wanted to live there. Sounds daft I know but its like going home when Im in Scotland. My maternal gran was a McLean and my fathers ancestors were Scots so that might explain it.
Off to do the spare room now.
Meant to say could I have some healing vibes please for DDs friend who is in intensive care.0 -

Last week I went and bought (second hand) an electric riser and recliner leather armchair. My mate and the gardener have just delivered it and its great - it means that I will be properly supported when I am sitting and if I fall asleep in the chair it will be ok. They are expensive new upwards of £400 fro a decent one - I paid £60 and apart from the leather needing a bit of a clean where it looks like it has taken on denim colouring fromm jeans its in very good condition.
Sounds Great Toots espec. at that price.
FFP hi sweetpea, no job is too big - you just have to break it down into small manageable chunks and it doesnt have to done all at the same time - so decide which cupboard is worst and do it - one small shelf at a time - no more - take the stuff off the shelf - sort through it and be ruthless and only put back what should live there. Rehome anything that has been on vacation on that shelf and bin any carp - 30-60 mins - NO MORE! and do that over the week until you have it sorted. You can do it I know you can - but baby steps!!!!
toots xx
Well cupboard under the stairs is now DONE! Livingroom rearranged/dusted/hoovered, cross stitch stuff put in its bag/proper place (did I tell you I'm in the mag next month?) knitting stuff in its rack, hotspot on top of fridge cleared, shreadding done, filing done. Left to do today S/s kitchen, wash suite. May attempt the other cupboard tomorrow if I'm feeling brave enough! OH took HRH with him to do the shopping so that gave me a head start which was good.Hi guys, no flying for me today because I'm in Scotland, up from Edinburgh, just waiting for the mist to rise and then off out on a journey.
Hope you're all having a great weekend, catch you all later.

I also decluttered some of the phone chargers etc as per greenbees advise.......but i cant part with my TV and dvd player.
Hi Jo, try unplugging before you go to bed. They still store electromagnetic charges, but at least you won't be adding to it. Also Quartz is great for displacing this - I learned a lot from a great friend of mine about the charges with phones/electrical stuff and how you can overcome some of the problems they cause - http://www.mackailonline.co.uk/productDetail.cfm?productID=11 if you want to find out more just email her, she's great and will give you any advice you may need.
Well, I have done diddly squat today.... am feeling very lazy and what you have said about the solstice could be right Greenbee - I know when mercury was in retrograde (have absolutely no idea what that means, just know it really affects me and especially my computer) I was a mess - and not because I knew, because I didn't find out until after (all this stuff confuses me, but funny how it still affects us eh!) I may start finding out more I think, just so at least I know why this stuff affects me and what I can do about it...
Ohhh, bit of a 'whoo whoo' ramble there - but I'm back on planet earth now(well, as close as I'll ever get
).
On the kids doing jobs saga, I totally agree with Pigpen on the children have to play bit, but very much agree that they also need guidelines and rules, and I think helping out gives them this and makes them respect the person doing all the work too, as they get a taste of what they do.
Pigpen, you are so lucky that when you ask for help, your children are there to help you - you have such amazing children and they are proof that you are a fantastic mum, but if I ask my kids, they say, "yea OK", and never do, so I have to get them to do their 'tasks' before they can do anything else or they just never do anything.
I am quite strict with it and some of my DS's friends think I'm a bit horrible sometimes I'm sure, as I won't let him out till he's finished, but they are MY rules and he will abide by them - if he gets them done when I ask or when he's supposed to, this wouldn't affect him, but he leaves it until he HAS to do it and hence it causes problems. The thing is I have seen both sides of the coin - My mum had to do ALL the housework when she was younger, including scrubbing the front step, she did all the washing, ironing, cleaning, everything from when she got home from school - far too much responsibility for a kid, but where I live now, they have no responsibilities, they don't go to school half the time, have no respect for their parents and no respect for other adults either half the time. Somewhere in the middle is good.
He is 15 now, and maybe I should have set these rules and STUCK BY THEM a little bit more when he was younger, then it may not have been such a chore, but they don't have to do the whole house just their rooms, the dishwasher and the pets and clear up after themselves so no biggies, my DD does do a bit more and helps out quite a bit now, she also does washing when SHE needs something done (she is nearly 20 after all) otherwise she doesn't, and I do the rest, and they are good kids, they are loving and kind and also little g!ts too, normal kids really.
Also, found this from my ADHD site - might help others too - http://www.healthcentral.com/adhd/organization-254952-5.html

I've been to the fair at Newcastle before but to work:rolleyes:. We don't travel that often now with the shows the last time we went away was the Kirkcauldy links last year. OH went for to help set up at Newcastle and is going tomorrow to help move some of them on to the next place. Keep saying that when Cardiff is on I'm going might do that this time.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
