bankruptcy declared 12.39pm 20th july
it was quite busy a had a group of us together made life that bit earlier
co-op let me open an account no probs
good luck for everyone else for the duration and hope history dosnt repeat

Hi all

Well i've had my day in court and now officially a member of July Bankruptcy club.

I arrived a court nice and early to be greeted by a lovely clerk who really put me at ease, my hands were shaking!

Anyway she went through the forms and then passed then to the judge whilst I waited. The Judge thankfully didn't want to see me so it was back downstairs for brief phone call with OR.

All they wanted to know was details of any assets I had and my bank accounts. I told the OR about the co-op account I had opened for after bankruptcy and hadn't used and she said she would contact the co--op to say she had no interest in it.

I also asked the OR if my name would appear in the local rag and much to my absolute delight she confirmed it will only appear in the London Gazette :j

On reflection I was I would have done this ages ago as I've such a feeling of relief and will sleep tonight for the first time in ages.

The only bit I'm concerned about is the next stage, phone call from OR etc etc.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone on the site who has supported me in the lead up to going BR:T
