I want to apply. Martins email update that I got last night says the offer's closed but its still open via barclays.co.uk. It also says it runs until 26th April
I think I'll apply now just in case...

Well I've just applied and I got to "sign" (ie tick) the fee free T&C.

I've just applied, and have printed off, and agreed to, the T&C which state "no handling fee"

    (a) - so you will still be paying interest on the £500 until you completely clear the £2500 (plus interest)!

Hmmm, won't be using it for any purchases then.... :-)

    Thanks.

I applied on Monday or yesterday I forget which. IIRC there was no mention of transfer fees within 60 days - I need this card to stooze my egg card so fingers crossed it's OK.
Just a quick q - if Barclaycard give me a massive debit e.g. greater then my balance on my egg card can I BT the whole lot (or 90% as in the T&C) into my egg card then BT the positive balance into my savings account? Is this possible? Has anyone else done anything like this? <I will cross post this to stoozing bit also>

Your egg limit is irrelevant, you can transfer 90% of your Barclays limit to a max of 5K.
P.S. hope you're talking about egg money, else you'll get charged for the SBT

I applied last weekend and have yet to hear anything from Barclaycard.

I would appreciate some clarification on what closed means....as I'm sure I can't be the only one who applied while the offer was still open and are waiting for a response.

I applied last Thursday (30th March) and got my card yesterday (6th April) so I would give it a week before worrying.

http://www.0for10.co.uk/ still seems to be working too and still says, "The closing date for this offer is the 26th April 2006."

I went into the branch today to pick up a leaflet, per Martins advice that only branch applications would avoid the BT fee. However the summary box is exactly the same as on the website stating no handling fee on BT (or 2.5% on BT's in the charges box).

I have read what others have said earlier about there being no BT fee in the first 60 days but I can't see where it says that on the leaflet or website?

DOH - quick edit required, just found it in the "Other Financial Information" box on the application form:

It states "0% for 10 months from account opening (with no handling fee) on balance transfers for any eligible balances transferred to your account within 60 days of opening your account,......"

    Sorry!!!
