In view of recent developments I strongly suggest that anyone who hasn't already registered their claim with www.moneyclaim.gov.uk visits my blog http://iwantmywaterbutt.blogspot.com and copies any information they feel they may need.

If my blog should disappear and if I stop posting on this thread then you can draw your own conclusions. It may be that I am not free to comment.

As you say, with legal fees as high as they are, first class travel or mileage to a lot of different places, and overnight stays, the legal fees will easily outweigh the costs of replacement tanks for us all. This means there must be an argument other than simple economics involved. As they have accepted that their terms and conditions were faulty by changing them what do they stand to win by following this course of action? Let's hope their shareholders will ask them at the annual meeting.... Anyone got any Kingfisher shares?

Just a thought but bond pearce is a national firm. They may well send out someone from whichever is office is local to the court if you see what i mean. This would probably make more sense than to have the same person travelling up and down the country. Also they are probably obliged to b&q to keep costs down as much as possible. I do hope this isn't the case though...

    They say
"Our core offices are in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Southampton, Aberdeen and London. Our business is expanding as increasing numbers of clients are attracted by the quality of our lawyers, .....' not much coverage in my opinion! Quite a few live north of these areas!

All we need is the door for it and its ready to go into the hole i left for it.
  • On the subject of big firm legal fees, about 3 years ago I took my employer to tribunal, my employer had Eversheds representing them. Just before the court date they made me a pathetic offer and tryed to scare me off by advising that if I loose I could be ordered to pay my employers legal fees (true but highly unlikely) which currently stood at £46k:eek:

I have now seen B&Q's defence and I'm pleased to say that there is a very persuasive counter-argument we can make. :T

I will put more details up later both here and on my blog (I'm working right now so I don't have time).
