Hi ladies,
I'm finally back after a really busy day.
Tia - I got two bras in the end. They were from Debenhams and although aren't exactly sexy they are better than the two maternity bras I got from M&S. They were a pack of 2 for £25 but there was 20% off, so got them for £20.
SugarSpun - did you take the vibrator back or have you decided to regift it?
Sarah Joanne - how did your booking in appt go?
Elle - fantastic news that Rhys will be home soon!!!
BeenieCat - glad you're OK and I hope everything is a bit better at home for you. I first felt bubba move at 19+5, although s/he is my first one and apparently you can often feel subsequent babies earlier.
Nancmat - I actually found Mamas and Papas the best for maternity clothes. However, they aren't cheap (the three total bits I have from there were bought when they had their 30% sale). I've also got bits from Next, H&M, Dotty P's and New Look. I have to say none of the H&M or New Look stuff has worn particularly well, but that could be more down to me constantly touching my stomach which has made them go a bit bobbly. On the plus side, they were all cheaper than the M+P stuff.
Candice - thank you for the birth story - wow, you certainly went through it hun. I'm glad it hasn't spoilt any mummy and Jacob bonding though.
Faye - congratulations on the forthcoming wedding!! Have you got everything booked and organised?
SM - glad you've finally got your money sorted!!!
Cathy - congrats and welcome to the thread!
Kamperkat - glad your first MW visit went OK.
MM - yay on changing a nappy and having a greedy guts who wants his mummy's milk.
Glam - I asked my MW about the sleeping on my back thing a few appointments ago as I found I was falling asleep on my side but waking up on my back (although not in a p0rn star pose!). She told me not to worry about it and that my body would know when to stop. She was right - it now hurts like crazy after about 5mins max when I'm lying on my back. It must be the weight of the baby putting pressure on my spine or something, but whatever it is, it doesn't let me stay long on my back which means there is no pressure on the majory artery.
Booboo - congrats on joining team blue!0 -

Now I've caught up with everyone's days, I'll tell you about my day
I had my 38wk MW appointment earlier. I turned up to find that my usual MW (I've had the same one since my booking in appt) has been moved and I have a new MW. However, the new MW is off sick for two weeks, so saw someone else instead.
She was really nice, although did keep pushing the benefits of a HB. I've already made my decision to go to hospital, but she did finally seem to accept that. Oddly, she never looked at my birth plan page in my notes (it's blank - I haven't filled it in) and I forgot to ask her, so I'm just going to do it by myself.
I had a BH whilst she was listening to baby's heartbeat. She asked me if I could feel anything and I couldn't so she said it definitely wasn't a real contraction.
Glam - I also asked about pain in my bum cheek and she said she wasn't sure but because I said it wasn't there all the time, she said that by the sounds of it baby must have been laying in a funny position and resting on a nerve or something.
The baby's head was one fifth engaged at my 36wk appointment and I was expecting it to be more engaged today, as I've been getting more pelvic pain. However, it's still the same. I'm a bit disappointed really but I don't know why as I know that how far the head is engaged isn't a sign of anything really.0 -

Haha, yep. Do I go to the top of the class?0 -
You know what, my post count would be far higher if I replied to posts individually instead of doing one massive reply!0

I went to see my grandad this afternoon and he gave me some lush ice cream. It was called Tesco caramella or something like that.
Will see if I can find a pic, as I highly recommend it!
ETA - try here http://www.tesco.com/superstore/xpi/3/xpi57462713.htm. It's on offer too!!!0 -
