Hi guys i'm new to this thread just thought i would pop in and see what was going on.
Expecting first baby on 15/02/2010 early days yet but am so excited as we were trying for 2 years...

Ooh same day as me!! My first too after 15 months of trying!

So after the tip on here the other night about half price ben & jerrys I ordered some from tesco online and it was just delivered!! Except it was like soup, barely even cold and had to go straight in the bin! Not happy, at all. Plus the main thing I ordered, fruit cake, wasn't available so they sent a white chocolate cake instead. Very not happy. Need to spend tomorrow trying to find a large fruit cake now.

Congrats Tara, what a stunner. I so can't wait to meet my little girlie. Though I'm really going to miss the kicking and moving around in there. Be glad to see the back of the heartburn though.

Madison is one of the names on my list, goes very nicely with the other two names and my surname. Still not totally decided though.

I'm glad you had chips in the end, now I can tell you that the fish and chips I had last night were totally amazing! Seriously the best I'd had in ages. Think it must be new potato season or something!! :D

:A Hello, baby girl, 6pm yesterday, 8lb 9oz. Labour 2hrs 30mns. I was induced unfortunatley as OH was extremely worried and it was a bit too much for me, so much more painful once they use a drip but she's fine and that's what matters. Went in and had my 2 favourite MW's :D who have done all my appointments at my surgery. Hospital was great, lovely rooms and home in the early hours.

In case you all fancied a laugh.

I told OH the other day that I had read that if he puts his head in the right place on my stomach that he should be able to hear the heart beat. So he puts his head down with a look of concentration on his face and I am trying not to breathe in case it is too loud when all of a sudden I feel the baby kick just where his head was :rotfl:
I had tears streaming down my face from laughing so much. He is never going to live that down and our child will be told that when he was in mummys tummy he kicked daddy in the face :rotfl:

baby does that a lot to hubby. he will lie with his head on me and say ' come on... give me a kick' he nearly always gets one!! lol!! always on the head, mouth or nose

30 weeks today! Getting frighteningly close now esp. as I'm moving up the list very quickly.

God, we are going to have to get our ar4es into gear to finish the nursery and gut our bedroom so we can fit moses basket in there!

labour vibes to those that need them!

thats what prompted me to get some baby clothes. 10 weeks!!!
i can see our names now on the EDD lst without having to scroll down. i can remember being right at the bottom!

is hubby too scared to come and say hello?

Glam - Are you the H.R person to speak to on here? Im thinking u are but ...anyhow ... lol

Do you or ANYONE else know - my mat leave starts Monday, on a/l at moment with 2;5 to carry forward for next time but im sick ( or so my ex says lol ) i wanted to claim the time back as sick so i have 5 days a/l to carry over to April 2010 (maximun we can carry over)....what i wanted to know is if i CAN claim this time back can i claim 5 days a/l plus the bank holidays making it 7 in my case or is the b.h included in the 5 days?

Also am i out of time for claiming sick as i know its iffy if you go off sick a few weeks before your due, im due in less than 3 weeks. The illness isnt pregnancy related

    Any advice appreciated

suzy - tbh I would just stay on A/L. If you are off sick in the 4 weeks before your due date then they can force you to start ML immediately. So, they could say you have to start ML tomorrow.

I guess it depends what you want to do

Bank holidays - how much holiday do you get?

Oooh no! Don't ruin them with curry sauce

Gotta be fish shop ones with [STRIKE]too much[/STRIKE] plenty of salt and some vinegar!

Oh and I've sent OH to Morrisons for ice cream - I was really looking forward to that!!

Glad I'm moving too so I can not go to tesco any more - they always disappoint me!

Jillie :j - and another 22nd'er joins us!

I know, I thought that with the list and not needing to scroll down! It seems not long ago when we joined!

I say 10 weeks but we could both go in 8-9!

We'll be doing the RLT and EPO together!
