There is no harm in asking! YOU could tell them that you are ill and want to take time as sick - if they would do it when you're not pregnant then they should do it now.
Is that 28 days annual leave PLUS 2 Bank holidays?
Why do you only get 2? When ru planning to return to work?
By law, you have to have 28 days annual leave (which can include bank holidays) so if you get 28 days plus 8 bank holidays then they don't have to let you accure the bank holidays. If you got 20 days annual leave PLUS 8 days bank holiday then they would have to let you accure bank holidays - does that make sense?
They normally do give us the time back as sickness over rides holidays.
28 days leave included bh. (so B/H is included in the A/L)
We can only claim BH back for the first 6 months mat leave, thats 4 bh's from now until Jan when my 6 months runs out, 2 of them are on a friday when i dont work so i can only claim 2.... or so my manager said
I plan to go back in 9 months when all the money runs out, im spreading the SMP out over that time so i never run out.0 -
think the RLT is enough. i may change my mind nearer the time though!!
my bump keeps going rock hard and then will soften a bit. finding it quite hard now to get comfy sat on couch. getting lots of little kicks and punches all the time. rock hard at the moment
although they have said they may take me in earlier i am really hoping i dont have to be induced. i would prefer to go myself. but, i think anything will just make me anxious which will prob raise the BP so i have to go in.
trying not to think bout it too much...

i joined the TTC thread last year. but i found at times quite hard going as some peeps got really carried away (imo) with testing practically the minute they were due their period or felt a bit different. i found it all a bit obsessive at times. but i know i may well have been that way if things had not happened. i can remember saying that i was gonna relax and enjoy life and see what happens. and i was fortunate enough that it did.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

helen - I remember being on the TTC thread, I felt awful because I had only posted to get info saying 'we plan to start TTC in Sept 09' and then I ended up missing my period in January and thinking hang on a minute!!
I've been pregnant for the whole of 2009 so far!
Suzy - if they do it normally they should do it now, however bear in mind they could start your ML automatically. Depends how much they know about ML!!
Jillie - my bump does that! It's where he is rolling around - sometimes one side is really hard and the other side is rock hard.
Sometimes when the whole bump goes really hard and takes my breath away I think it's a BH.
Tia was saying the EPO doesn't bring on labour it just softens the cervix.
I'm going to use it whilst doing perineal massage and then start taking it orally and inserting it.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
