My bad tummy started around 28wks, still got it now I'm afraid. Fingers crossed yours isn't the same. I have rennie tablets at the moment, spearmint. They're quite nice.

They're more than quite nice, i think they are lovely but then that's coz i crave them. am eating them now, would pick them over chocolate any day (well maybe not once i'm not preggers any more)

Let me put it this way WM, even though Dylan had a condition that only affects section babies (liklyhood is I would have needed an emergency section anyway even if I tried a VBAC as he was quite big !) I would make the same decision tomorrow in an instant. The doctors all knew what had happened last time, I got extra drugs to stop me having too much blood loss, Was given a total clean out of all the placenta which they normally dont do and allow you to pass some of it naturally afterwards, and got extra stitches after too. All in all it was longer as they took so much care this time, but worth every second of it and I wouldnt have it any other way again :)

Oh only thing is after pains are a real !!!!!! and hurt like hell for days, but think I would have got them anyway !!

Thanks MM. I just read your birth story for Jasmine and have to say, yours was a lot more traumatic than mine. Very brave to go for it a second time.

Have 7 weeks to decide before consultant appointment. Presuming OH is medically ok by then, will most probably go for the elective. My mum is fantastic and will help out. Though i complain about OH parents, i'm quite sure they will pick DS up from school for me if needed, can't see them getting up to take him to school. OH has already booked 3 weeks off starting one week before my due date, in the hopes of the elective at 39 weeks. So he will be able to take DS to and from school, while i recover for a few weeks. If i am unable to walk and push pram, when he goes to school, will book him into breakfast club and OH can drop him off at school before he goes to work at 8.30. See i've already thought it all through.:D But it all really hangs on OH being OK health wise.

Now good luck Tara. Hope things are progressing well.

Fidget - that link is for mattress. Check out boot sales - I see loads every week at car boot in your town.

Som - RLT is Raspberry Leaf Tea. It's supposed to help the uterus contract and make 2nd stage of labour easier, also helps womb contract back again after birth.
I've been using bio Oil since about 18 weeks I think - think bottle says after 12 weeks until after birth.

OH in a strop cos he kicked my glass over (it was empty!) and now his electric razor is broken and it's my fault

    be back on the morning

Harley - for the sake fo £6 odd buy a new one!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

MM, did you have a spinal block? Last time they topped up the existing epidural i already had in. But i've also heard spinal block is better for recovery.

See MM, you are becoming my fountain of all knowledge. ;)

  • Evening everyone

I'd like to join the club again please, if someone could add me onto the next list?

    My EDD is 17 December.

I had my 12 week scan today, and was very happy to be told I'm 16+5, which I knew but no-one really listened. Strange really as pregnancy combined with pre-existing "maternal fat" means I do actually look quite pregnant!

    Andrea :)
