Hi everyone - been MIA for weeks, so don't know what I've missed! Only caught up from earlier today, so realise that EA is back - congrats! Congrats also to any new mums since I was last here, hugs & kisses to whoever needs them, & good luck if it's tonight tara! :j
Took dad's ashes to his childhood village a couple of weeks ago - fitting way to send him off, lots of tears etc, mum had taken his fave whisky so we could have a dram to say goodbye, even I had a mouthful!
Life seems even more of a rush atm, so have decided to cut down on some things & start saying 'no' to certain people! :rotfl:Nearly 26 weeks, so have handed in letter to work, I know I won't get SMP, so saving good wageslips so I can boost how much MA I get. Don't see MW until 20th, over 27 weeks then, so hope I get form for HiPG, then I can add it to baby fund - only £200 atm, but have very little to buy, just clothes & nappies, really. Also getting money from HSA, but that won't be until after bean is here, as I need birth certificate to apply. Will still get it before Christmas, though, which will help!

I've kept prodding and think he's moved over. Recently, he's had a habit of rolling up really high and so I can really feel him rather than the odd kick or punch. Not done it today though
i find now i feel more movements like rolling around and stretching rather than kicks and punches. feels at time a bit uncomfortable.
had a vivid dream last night that baby punched me and the you could see the little fist through the skin on my stomach.
i had a scary one the other sat, i was convinced ihadnt felt baby move all day. so me and hubby lay on bed and we prodded and touched and called baby to see if they would move. was on the verge of going to the hospital and they moved. i dont think either of us have been so relieved in our lives.
dont know bout anyone else but i am seeing a different side to hubby at the moment, and i really love it. he said that when baby comes along he will be even more changed. it makes me love him even more the way he is at the moment.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Thanks Glam, might just do that, but I could do with some advice first please.
I've just had a good look at the moses basket. The mattress is covered in that plasticy sheet stuff and goddaughter only used it for 3 nights. Cat appears to have shed all over it but if I hoover it off, use a lint roller and put all the fabric through the washing machine do you think this would make it all good as new or should I still get a brand new mattress. Since it is only £6.50 it won't break the bank and would rather be safe than sorry, but equally i don't want to spend the money if I don't need to.
Anyone got any advice or opinions?

Very proud mummy to Gorgeous baby girl - 29/09/09 :j
Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
Fitz - he's not stopped moving since I got in! Feel better now but have found I've had more dia woo woo poos recently
Glad moses basket was useful - don't go ordering them all now, I won't be happy if there's none left for me :rotfl:
harley - ring them about delivery times. I plan to ring to see if I can wangle free postage on moses basket mattress if I order with cot bed mattress :money:
tara - ah, won't be too long now.
Think molly must have beaten you to it - not like her not to post!
Glam do you mean a whole moses basket or just the mattress? I'm trying to get a cheap one (basket and hopefully rocking stand too) in good nick but every time I find one on ebay, the price goes way above what I'm willing to spend for second hand. Anyone who knows of any cheapish ones they could nudge me in the direction of would be a little star in my eyes as I've become quite obsessed with it!
Ooh good luck Tara hope it doesn't take to long to get going x0 -
Harley, I'd get a new one. XToo many children, too little time!!!0

Whats RLT?
Whens best to start with the bio oil? And where should it be used?
Am currently using some palmers I was given, thought I'd best start as I mean to go on hehe. Just doing tummy and thighs atm after showering, will make a mental note to ask mum if she had any SM's tho. Really wish my scan would hurry up and get here, am sure this is more annoying than 2ww, wanna know how many beans are in there? Joys of IVF and having twins running in both our families!Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Righty.. change of plan - Rhys is now coming home on Tuesday of next week
He needs his jabs and they would prefer to give them here then put him on an oxygen monitor for 24 hours just to be sure he's okay. Thing is, he can't have them until Day 56 and he's only(!) Day 50 today. Jabs on Sunday, monitoring until Monday and by the time he comes off it it will probably be too late in the day to take him home so it'll be Tuesday. A bit disappointing, but at least he's in the best place for after jab monitoring and also it buys us a bit of time to get the house more finished
The consultant actually said "his kidneys are working well" this morning - she never thought she'd be saying that!Levels of the bad stuff they filter out are nearly down to normal
Also found out we won't have to come in twice a week for bloods - the community nurses will do them, plus give the twice weekly jabs he needs. They will also weigh him, and the head scans will go down to once a month so we don't need to come in every week for those. The speech therapist is going to come to us too, so we might not need that yearly car parking pass afterall!
Off to the carpet shop now.. fingers crossed they have a fitting slot on Monday!
just thought i'd share this with you all.
