CONGRATULATIONS Mrs Moc! That is brilliant news!
I am finally back from the hospital - we were there over two and a half hours - and have good news
Baby is:
* Growing fine and putting on weight
* Within normal growth parameters although femur length is tiny so must have its dad's legs, sadly, rather than mine
* About 5.5lbs currently
* HEAD DOWN
So the home birth is on! I've been discharged and just need to get head engaged now and wait for labour to begin!
I'm so relieved.
Oh yeah, and I've put on just over two stone, which I'm not so happy about. I now weigh 71kg. I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life. It had better drop off afterwards!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Hi All, sorry if I dropped in in the middle of a conversation but I haven't managed to keep up with this thread, I'm being induced in a week so thought I'd share some pregnancy stuff which may or may not be helpful to someone
It's my last day at work tomorrow :beer:
Things I couldn't have done without are: Rennies (1/2 per day from about 10 weeks :eek: most days) and my Moda Mothercare size 12 jeans from ebay - they have an over the belly bit and belt loop holes whereas my other jeans have no belt loops, and the others have no band, just a thick elastic. So I've almost lived in the Moda ones, kept washing them of course!!
I've put on about 3.5 stones but it doesn't really show and my belly is big for sure but not massive compared to some I've seen so mostly fluid retention then which brings me to rings. I did manage to get my wedding ring off with a lot of washing up liquid on a cold day but could have done to take it off sooner, thought I was going to have to cut it off! My feet are like elephants feets some days with fluid :undecided so nice that my trainers and sandals fitted but wouldn't recommend buying shoes during this time as I've gone up a few sizes.
Worst bit was a urine infection and that was fine didn't know I had it, but the antibiotics _pale_ horrible!! Lack of sleep has been horrible but good preparation and I'm used to it now. Also horrible - my leg is loose at the hip so I'm limping at the mo which I reckon is due to those hormones which relax the cartilidge ... or something and I did have an existing back problem before I got pregnant a year or two ago.
Mmmm what else? I've been soooo lucky with a lack of cravings and sickness, in fact I was only actually sick twice in the first trimester :T
I had maternity shirts and tops up at week 12-ish, that's also when I got my jeans (Prior to that I used a button extender, and also a bra extender has lasted me the whole pregnancy [small boobs] although the elastic has gone on it now). The maternity tops only lasted til about 28 weeks as they became too small and so I stole my husbands t-shirts and tops and have been wearing them .. without looking too silly. Not very girly but I'm not so doesn't matter. Maternity clothes are hard to come by in these parts believe it or not
Anyways, that's it really! Due to be induced on the 9th with 1 baby in position & 1 now breached ... may or may not turn over in the mean time
WooooooO!
Wish me luck!!0 -
Skinty that is all wonderful news!
My tenant has short femurs too, but apparently that happens if parent/s are tiny regardless of their relative leg length (my OH is ten inches taller than me but we wear the same inside leg).Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Congratulations Mrs Moc!!!!:j:j:j I am just so thrilled for you and your baby. You were so brave and strong going through everything that you did and now you have your precious reward. Look forward to pics.
SM- I love the smell of rain too. I love sitting with the french windows open, hearing and smelling the summer rain.
EA- As a fellow south coaster you have my sympathy. It is so scorching at the moment- we need a good old thunder storm to clear the air.
Well, had a stand in midwife this morning as mine is off sick. Did I mention a midwife at my area has swine flu? I'm convinced it's mine and that she's in isolation as I was told she will be off for a few weeks :eek:. Stand in one was okay,but a bit vague about everything. Said I shouldn't be taking iron as my Hb was normal at booking in and that I should stop taking it straight away. I have been on a high dose, so was a bit reluctant about this. She then saw in my notes that my ferritin levels are low so this is probably why I was prescribed it, but to stop now anyway.....
Heard the heartbeat though which was fab. Don't have to go back for another 7 weeks, so won't get my HiPG forms until 30 weeks, after my anti-D injections but I can live with that.
Tis mine and OH 9 year anniversary since our first date today! Can't quite believe it but he is cooking me a lovely roast to celebrate, which might sound mad in this heat but I really fancy one so I'm dead happy.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

That's interesting. I am 5ft 5ins and OH is 5ft 6ins so we didn;t expect a tall one, it's just that my legs are quite long and OH's are short, compared to our torsos.
Maybe the baby will get my good legs after all.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

My doctor was telling me when I expressed concern - the baby's head and belly were measuring 27/28 weeks, and her legs 23/24.
I'm only 5'1 so she isn't going to be a giant, but apparently her legs will grow.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hi ladies and bumps!
I posted last week about my first midwife visit, whch you all gave me lovely reassuring advice about! So... I've just got my date for my first scan - 15th July :T & we still have no idea how many weeks we are along yet so I'm after more info again.
I'm going to Yeovil Hosp and I know that someone replied to me saying that's where they were but I can't remember who it was and I can't find the post, can anyone tell me whether you get a piccie to take home at your first scan - i think i'll be about 12 weeks by then...maybe....hopefully...
