Sorry I havent been on, my laptop was sent off to be fixed and my connection on the kids laptop whe I had it was so bad I could only lurk, so i have been catching up when I could.
I had my little girl on Tuesday afternoon 30/06 at 2.35. Weighing 7lb and although I only made it to 36 weeks she didnt need to go to a care unit.
I took another bleed on Monday night and spent the night in Delivery suite refusing to go to theatre because I was convinced the bleeding would eventually ease off as it usually did.
Finally around 11am it slowed to a trickle and arrangements were made for me to go to A ward again. At 11.30 I went for a shower and passed 2 large clots, which would be bigger than my hands, then blood gushed everywhere and I completely freaked out. I initially thought it was the placenta.
It was a very scary experience and I knew I had run out of time. I was taken to theatre and before I knew it, it was all finally over.
My blood is low but thankfully I didnt need the blood transfusion or a hysterectomy. I feel I have been very lucky. My main concern all along was keeping the baby out of the care units and its great that she is here with me in the ward.
Im going home tomorrow, which im still struggling to believe. The doctor asked me this morning did I want to go home tomorrow and I could only nod through the tears. I have been here in hospital now for the best part of 3 months
Its been a very hard time over the last 3 months and certainly enough to put me off pregnancy for life.
Im so glad things work out well for most and my pregnancy experience is in the minority.
Im also struggling with after pains from the CS. Breastfeeding is causing havoc with my uterus but the immense joy this nightmare is finally over is helping me deal with the aftermath.
Will be able to catch up properly when im home tomorrow and on my own broadband.0 -

Mrs Moc, you only got to 36 weeks? only??? Do you know how huge an achievement that is given your condition?
Congratulations!!!! She sounds like a wee star! Hope the after pains wear off soon. I remember swallowing as much painkillers as I could before going to feed DS2 and still ending up bent double over the sink breathing through what felt like contractions.
So glad your ok and your getting home, with a healthy baby girl!
How is DH? Hope he is behaving.0 -
Yeah, I'm here. Bubs has to stay put now until Monday as this is Bens weekend! How are you today?
Felt sorry for myself last night, but feel better now. I have been talking to my mum explaining that I want to go into labour naturally and will feel like I am cheating/failing to become a mum "properly" if I am induced, IYSWIM. Of course she said I am silly, but that she felt exactly the same way when induced with her last 2 babies.
But at least, if I am induced I know exactly when baby will be arriving and I feel better about that now.
Whenever I feel down about something pregnancy related, I just think of how hard the year of ttc'ing was before getting pregnant and how happy I was to get pregnant, and how it will be all so worth it in the end!
Sorry that turned into a long, moany one!
