    Hello everyone

Im 34 weeks pregnant and had hardly any sleep for the last 2 nights. I keep getting painful braxton hicks. Last night was the worse where I just couldnt sleep for very long at a time and have painful low back ache. Today im off as I feel like I have flu symptoms - achey legs and hips, headache, sore throat as well as the back ache and braxton hicks, oh and my stomache has been hard all day and I was sick this morning.

Do you think its heat stroke?

No idea but I'd call your mw and get checked out especially if your uterus has been hard all day.

MM - what wonderful news! I'll bet Jasmine is pretty thrilled, since she couldn't visit him in hospital!

lindsaygalaxy - I agree it's probably a good idea to check in with your midwife at this point. The midwife here as well as the delivery unit seem to be very much of a "would rather check and have it be nothing than ignore it and miss something important" frame of mind, for which I am very thankful. Regardless of whether or not it's heat stroke (and I have no idea if it is or not), make sure you keep drinking fluids!

I should be getting my induction date when I go in on 16 July for my 37wk check. The consultant doesn't want me going overdue - but I'm kind of hoping I go into labour sometime around 37-38 wks anyway. I'm having incredible pelvic pressure, and it's making it difficult to walk. The only way I can describe it is being saddle-sore, for lack of a better way to put it. Lots of BHs, but they're not regular, so no big concern there.

I did speak to the consultant about the raspberry leaf tea - she said it was to strengthen the uterus so the contractions during the pushing stage were more effective. Since I usually average about a 10 minute pushing stage with each baby, she told me it just might be a good idea to skip the raspberry leaf tea this time! LOL

Bored now. Still here. Still sore. Sitting like John Wayne after a hard day in the saddle. Feet the size of watermelons. Boobs the size of slow-leaking Zeppelins.

Bring on the baby. I'm not above queue jumping, although I notice a couple of people MIA today and hope they are clearing the way for the rest of us ;)

Sorry SS I'm still here - you'll have to get past me first! Seriously though I hope it happens soon for you as you're in a lot of discomfort with it.

I've had absolutely no signs yet. Lots of BH which are uncomfortable but not much else. Hands and feet are still swollen though. Slept on top of the bed with nothing on last night it was so hot. Can't do that tonight though as DHs daughter is sleeping over!

LOL - queue jumping looks to be dangerous. I'll patiently (sort of) wait my turn, up until the induction date, then I won't have a choice.

I'm 27th, 25th if you count the same days as one :D And 57 days to go!

Today I am wearing a dodgy combo of brown cord skirt, my mottled milk bottle legs and a dusky pink top. And I don't give a !!!!! It's keeping me cool.

Lots of BH here too, I wonder if it's maybe the heat? Also constantly going to pee tiny little concentrated dribbles, so I've upped my fluid intake (I usually drink at least 2-3lt anyway!). When I need to pee my bump goes rock solid and it hurts!!
