Hi - I've had some depression. I do get it anyway but I have definitely had some while pregnant after a loooong time of being fine, and I think it's the hormones.
I've found some days very hard, but I just try and not do anything on those days and then when I feel better I blitz things (physically and emotionally).
OH doesn;t get it - doesn;t get the whole pregnancy being hard thing to be honest - and I do some days feel everything is too much like hard work, but try and hold onto those days when you feel good.
Yes that's how I feel, I've had depression before too and had anti-d's but that was years ago and deffo don't want to start that up again. It must be the hormones so I'll try to remind myself that it's not forever.
OH can be sympathetic on the surface, he says the right things if I cry but we seem to be drifting apart lately. He spends more and more time on the computer and seems frustrated with me as I never want to go to the pub or the pictures. Even if I'm having a hard time it doesn't stop him getting overly angry and swearing at me. I know pregnancy can be a bit overwhelming for dads too but this makes me feel even more isolated and removed from "normal" life.
Oops, I'll shut up as I don't want to start bringing the thread down especially for those who are also having this miserable cloudy but strangely boiling weather! Going to put some music on and have a bit of a tidy up to see if that helps x0 -

On the plus side though, I am wearing a pair of pre pregnancy trousers today !! In all fairness they were a bit big on me before I got pregnant, but still, they are not mat trousers, so I feel quite good about myself
How did the sweep go yesterday? Do you feel OK ?
My connection wouldn't work last night so couldn't chat, sorry! When I found out that DS1 had problems I felt like I'd been hit by a train. It does get easier but I'm not saying you get over it but as has already been said I wouldn't change him for the world as it makes him who he is, a fantastic lad who is an asset to this world!
Sweep not so good as because of my retroverted womb (back-to-front) my cervix doesn't come forward properly so I don't think it will help. MW said she would come back Friday but it's Bens birthday so I said no and asked for Monday. Sounds silly but that's his day!!!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
Thats not silly, I thought I was going to be taken in on my in laws wedding anniversary, and I didnt want to share that either !! I like all dates to be on their ownThe two best things I have done with my life

Fidget - it is definitely worth coming on here to vent. It is better to come on here and write what you are thinking/feeling than bottle it up. I don't think anyone minds. I have not had any real experience of depression but I know I went through a stage really thinking whether or not I really wanted this baby as I was feeling so awful. Hormones do have a huge part to play in it all and like you say try to keep in mind its not forever and that you will have a baby at the end. I think like other people have said it would be worth getting in touch with you MW/Dr to talk about it.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

SS - Wait your turn madam and keep your legs firmly crossed!! I have decided to make plans for everyday this week in the hope that will make something happen. Tonight I am hoping to go out for a meal if its not too hot.
But I have been getting some tightenings across my stomach this morning - very different to BH's I have had, they are not that painfull - it could just be wind again!Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set
