Chris as long as she does a patch and strand test then i'm sure it will be fine.

I dyed my hair when about 8 weeks and was fine, i'm naturally dark blonde and dye it light blonde, so it matches my eyebrows lol!

    Hi

i'M due to be a grandma on the 14th december and i can't wait.

quick question, when can my daughter dye her hair, we've heard 3 months?

    thanks

She's better off giving her midwife a call tomorrow as we all tend to get different advice, hope she's doing well. X :D

Chris, from what I had read, it is best to wait until after the first trimester but I don't think there is much evidence to suggest there is any risk of harm to the baby.

I had my hair coloured at the hairdressers at about 3 months, and I was itching for weeks. It was driving me insane how itchy my head was, and I suddenly realised it started around the time I got a semi-permanent hair colour put in! I guess it's just that skin can be more sensitive during pregnancy and this wouldn't happen to everyone.

    Morning All

That's the pushchair I got too GISI, but I got the red cover. Was worried about getting the black as my friends is black and at 6 months old is already stained (god knows what with), and know I can't be trusted with anything white. Hers is the Quinny - lots more expensive but as far as I can tell pretty similar. I only have the seat so far as by the time I got to the checkout on 20% off weekend the chassis had gone out of stock. Am also hoping for another good deal before I try to buy it again.

Enjoy your holiday, I'm going to finish the paper with my feet up before going to parents for bbq.

We got the red one too! We're really pleased with it.

Sooo quiet on here today, everyone must be pampering their Dads/ OHs for Fathers Day. Just popped into town for some last minute holiday bits. Am tempted to have a little nap now but know if I do I will wake up feeling crap!

Got a lovely little layered skirt thingy in Tesco for going over my bikini on holiday. Not maternity, but stretchy waist band and only £6 so a bargain. Will wear it after holiday too, over leggings, so happy with that :D. Also got a little cotton cardi in Tesco as I cannot bear man made fibre cardis or jumpers at the moment. That is definitely a pregnancy thing as never bothered me before. It's a gorgeous raspberry pink colour and will look lovely over little dresses or vests.

Am starting to think that not knowing the flavour is very MSE as if I knew I would have bought loads of baby clothes today. This way, I'm only gonna buy some plain essentials like sleepsuits and vests, and by the time bubs is born other people will have bought us loads of stuff anyway:money:.

I read up quite a bit on this and found general consensus to be that the biggest risk is hyper-sensitivity to the hair dye, so if strand test comes back ok, then it's prob ok to go ahead and dye it. I've been dying my hair thorughout, can't remember when exactly but I'm pretty sure it would have been in the first trimester.

Chris - I've heard that it's better to wait until after first trimester, but for me, the main reason I waited until after first tri was simply because smells made my morning sickness sooooo bad - and as it was, the smell bothered me a bit later on in pregnancy, I'd have spent half the time my hair was being done vomiting and nauseated.
