They can check if it's fluid with a simple stick thingy, remember them rubbing it across a pad I was wearing to see if it turned black. Mine did as my waters were leaking.
Too many children, too little time!!!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
    Went for THIRD sweep today!

Am now 2cm dilated, and she felt contractions from the inside but I can't feel them myself. Problem still the same - baby is ready to come out but can't get head down enough due to the amount of fluid, so just got to keep waiting for the membrane to break.

Am to book into the hospital 4.30pm tomorrow for assessment for induction, but hoping I go naturally before then as once they've booked me in I can only use delivery suite, not the birthing centre which I was really hoping for. Midewife said all they will need to do to induce me is break the waters and it will all kick off pretty much straight away, seeing as cervix is all thinned out, dilating etc already.

Am fed up with everyone offering me 'helpful' tips on getting labour started, when the midwife says it's already under way and the only thing I am waiting for is for the waters to go, and apparently nothing can help with that.

Apart from that, I am all fine, hope everyone else is good today!

Have they said why they wont break your waters for you honeypop. I was in slow labour with my first and once i was 2cm and had been like it for 48hrs they broke them for me and well the rest is history so to speak it made everything come on really quickly :-) x
