Hi all.. I know you're probably all snoozing now but I've only just caught up with you! :) Would love to tell you how Rhys is, but I have no idea - medically! We missed the doctors rounds this morning but nothing bad has been said by the nurses so we're assuming all is well. He certainly seems well in his self.. Has discovered how to pull out his own feeding tube so that's been his latest trick over the last two days

Fantastic news on the expressing, MM! More positive get well soon vibes to Dylan from all in "Team Stephens" - which includes all of Rhys' ever-growing collection of teddies! ;):D

Have had a busy day ourselves.. Got woken up by a nurse at 6am telling me it was time to feed Rhys and that she thought I wanted to do it  We'd agreed that they were to knock for me if he was awake and we'd seize the opportunity to try breastfeeding for a while, but he was fast asleep when I went through! :( Took the chance to express though. Then back to sleep and woke up again at half nine.

After we'd seen Rhys, we packed up all our stuff from the flat - it took OH six trips down to the car (from the second floor with no lift) to take it all away! :o I was excused from the lifting as I was expressing again  Did a final sweep of the flat, said a teary TTFN to Rhys then got back to my parents' house for half one. Had lunch and OH went to our house to move furniture and I went into town to sort the Fathers' Day presents and cards (nowt like being prepared! :o I did buy OH's card ages ago though). Back to the house, then to my parents', then to the hospital. M&D followed us to the hospital and whilst I was expressing (again! Tedious, isn't it, MM?) my Mum finally braved it and had a cuddle with Rhys! :jI asked her on Thursday if she wanted one but she said no (he still had wires attached then) and then went home in tears, kicking herself for missing out! :o Then my Dad had a hold, which I think made his Fathers' Day :D

Since we've been home, I've mostly been wrapping Fathers' Day presents. For OH, I got a lion teddy wearing a "Best Dad" tshirt; Boots No7 Anti Fatigue Eye Stick; a babygro (for Rhys obviously) which says "Daddy makes me smile"; a clay foot/hand impressions kit which he's been talking about; mousemat saying "I love my Daddy" which you can put a photo in; and made him a "boast book" (photo album of his fav pics of Rhys). Totally commercialised but you only get one first Fathers' Day ;)

Just been expressing again and now I'm off to bed.. :) Tomorrow, we're going to the hospital first thing, then going to our house but my parents and grandparents are all doing the painting tomorrow so we're being sent out to buy more paint, blinds, towels and bits for the kitchen I think :)

Hope everyone else is well.. Labour vibes for Honeypop :D xx

    Urgh. It's very early.

But the sun is shining and the birds are singing and the cat is gently snoring (so is the husband but he's far enough away that I only notice when I walk past the bedroom).

The basement will be emptied a bit more today, more stuff will be thrown out and more stuff will find a home. Someone's picking up our unwanted wardrobe and someone else is taking all the broken computer bits. I will do dishes and otherwise supervise what's going on.

Insomnia is rubbish, but it's nice to be so peaceful before everything really starts up.

morning, not so early now but strange to think, not so long ago I'd invariably be way in the land of zzz's sleeping off a hangover at this time of the week instead of being wide awake and thinking about housework!

had a lovely day yesterday - pottered about then went to mothercare to buy some maternity jeans as at 16+ weeks my normal ones are just not comfy enough anymore and DP &I looked at pushchairs too (other than the enormously increased mortgage payments when we move from this 1 bed flat-went to mortgage brokers yesterday too!) is almost certainly going to be our biggest expense so I really want to start looking now. Divided between two: http://www.mothercare.com/Graco-Mosaic-deluxe-travel-system/dp/B001NW8JNY/sr=1-2/qid=1245571051/ref=sr_1_2/276-5855228-7970244?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42768041&mcb=core and http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-pliko-pramette/185748802/type-i/ - the Graco one seems stupendous value for money and does lie flat and comes with a car seat and the M&P one because I really like the idea of the pram mode at first. Little one is going to be a winter baby so needs somewhere snug for a good while! Both will be fine on public transport / traveling which is one of the big things for us with my family and lots of my friends being far away.

hugs & healthy happy vibes to you all

OMG - looked at the list, am 18th from bottom, not so long ago I was at the end of the list! eek!

Morning Ladies- first day of my holiday, and my Mummy is back from her honeymoon so I get to see her for the first time since her wedding! Have done a gorgeous silk album of wedding pics for her as it was her birthday while she was away...hope she likes them.

Have got OH a card and polo shirt from bump. He's on nights at the moment though so will be asleep for quite a while longer.

Always- I love the Pliko Pramette. We almost went for that one too. Like you ours will be a winter baby so I really wanted a pram for the first few months. OH still thinks I'm fussy, but I am adamant that I want baby to be able to all cosy and laid flat while he/ she is little. We went for this one in the end http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-mychoice-pushchair-seat-unit/dp/B001NLZ0PA/sr=1-2/qid=1245573505/ref=sr_1_2/278-5674577-0560251?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42764041&mcb=core and got it when Mothercare had 20% off. Maybe worth trying to find out whether Mothercare or Mamas and Papas have any more offer weekends coming up soon.....

    Morning All

That's the pushchair I got too GISI, but I got the red cover. Was worried about getting the black as my friends is black and at 6 months old is already stained (god knows what with), and know I can't be trusted with anything white. Hers is the Quinny - lots more expensive but as far as I can tell pretty similar. I only have the seat so far as by the time I got to the checkout on 20% off weekend the chassis had gone out of stock. Am also hoping for another good deal before I try to buy it again.

Enjoy your holiday, I'm going to finish the paper with my feet up before going to parents for bbq.

Hmm. Clearing out and checking everything in the Keller just got much easier.

A sealed pack of aspirin has gone bad down there because of the damp, and everything that is not metal, plastic, or such that it can go in the washing machine is just being thrown out. Everything is mildewed and mouldy and horrid.

    Hello everyone!

Haven't been on for ages and seem to have missed loads!! Congrats to all those who have given birth, I will try and catch up with everything as soon as I can! And labour vibes to those who need them!

For some reason I seemed to have disappeared off the list so have added myself back in (i hope you all weren't trying to tell me something! :()

Anyway, I can't believe how quick time is flying by! I am 24 weeks today and I can't believe how big I am getting... It is bizarre!

We have emptied the nursery ready to be papered and I have so far bought the border (Lollipop Lane's Jelly bean jungle, with matching bedding set and cot mobile!) I am soooo excited to get it done then I can put the furniture up (kiddistyle Oakland) and then I can start putting in the few babygrows/sleepsuits I have bought!!! It is better than Christmas! :o

Still loads to think about, but I am too tired to do it at the mo! There are so many things to choose from as a first timer I find it seriously scary! I hope I'm not the only one! :o

Anyway just nipping to get my sandwich then I'll be back to try and catch up...

    Mad
