how to email with d500

as happyhunter posted unfortunately the d500 only supports pop3 email and not imap email and from what i can find both aol and hotmail use imap(simply put they are different types of servers) have you got a pop3 account,? i think wanadoo, supanet, blueyonder yahoo(?)etc all use pop3. if you could register for one of these accounts then you could have your aol and hotmail emails automatically forwarded to this, which you could then pick up from your phone, a bit long winded but with those email providers i think it may be the only option:(Copy from one, it’s plagiarism; copy from two, it’s research.0

I have a D600 on T Mobile Flext. How much does emailing cost me?0

Charges for sending or receiving emails is calculated in the same way as accessing wap for browsing.
e.g. for Virgin PAYG, the rate is 0.5p/kB for wap browsing.
If you use the pop3 method of sending an email of 6kB then it will cost 3p.
If you use the wap to access https://www.gmail.com/mobile and then login your email account to send an email, then obviously this will cost more because you are downloading more kB to get the signon screens etc.0
