Hi everyone,
Everyone's doing so well! I LOVE this thread!
My goals from LAST week:-
* Find out cost of bus pass from home/work, and possibly purchase- normally take car/train so researching cheaper options I found out the price (£80 so £25 cheaper than the train and I don't have to use the car!) but wasn't organised enough to get a weekly ticket on the bus - grrr)
*Keep up-to-date with eBay quotations and orders I kept up-to-date with quotes but due to a VERY busy week I'm a bit behind with orders
*Four no spend days YES! Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday!
*Go to library NO!
*Work hard at impressing children and family today when babysitting so get more work potentially coming up this week (inc. possibly two lucrative stay overs) Did a very long babysitting shift last Sunday and took the kids to the local animal park and another stayover shift on Tuesday but read Bad News Thread to see why I'm not going back!
*Keep costs low when on a friend's birthday day trip to Isle of Bute on Saturday Not done, had a lovely day but had wildly underestimated how much travel and food would cost
*Be chilled out with OH and don't snap at him/ask him to do too much - just 'cos I'm so busy (its not fair on him) Done, he is driving me mad today with 'boy flu' (you know what I mean girls!) but I haven't nagged him or shouted, just generally ignored him and let him get on with being 'ill'!
*Keep my cool/don't be bullied by job share partner who is back at work tomorrow after long holiday Achieved, but think we are in honeymoon stage at the moment - our relationship tends to be very up and down
My goals for THIS week:-
*Three no spend days
*Keep up-to-date with eBay orders
*Low spend for visit to Crieff with my mum (she's taking me for a revitalising day at a spa!) - I'm scared I'll be tempted to spend on meals and goodies
*Put up babysitting cards in local shops etc
*Phone Inland Revenue re. starter pack for business
*Phone to find out the cost of day returns and week passes on same bus journey (can't afford to buy a monthly bus ticket now!)
*Overpay Mint card with PIN money from babysitting, Amazon, eBay, closing savings account etc. - amount to be confirmed
*Send off 'letter before action' to reclaim bank charges from RBS
*Go to library
Good luck everyone!

Sorry to read about your 'babysitting' drama Scottish! It sounds as though the guy has a lot on his plate but has taken a lot for granted. Sounds like he needs an Au Pair, not a babysitter.
My goals for last week were;
3 'No Spend Days' - Yes managed this.
Prepare some bulk meals to put in the freezer - No, didn't do this and no excuse why not!
Only go to the Supermarket on Thursday (for milk and bread!) - Partly did this. Only went once but it was Weds.
Add £2.00 to my 20p Savers Club. - Yes have added £2.40!
Clear out shed on Thursday and put 10 items on Ebay. - Not done, priority for this week.
Clear my Barclaycard (£72 to pay off it) - 1 Creditcard down, 19 to go!! (Small steps) - Will be doing this in the morning. Have updated all of my finances this weekend so know it's safe to do it.
For the coming week;
1. 4 No spend days (love them!)
2. Maintain spending diary.
3. Don't use tumble drier.
4. Don't put heating back on during day (weather warmer now!)
5. Sort out my E-bay items and put at least 5 on.
6. Add £2.00 to 20p club savings.
7. Sort out my freezer and make some meals to freeze.
8. Send OH's mileage relief tax claim to tax office by Weds.
That's enough to be going on with. Kids break up on Thursday so will be really busy Fri onwards!
Good luck everyone.
