Boyfriend is coming down at the weekend, will have to remind him everything is being done on the cheap!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Last week:
1. Continue to track spending Done!
2. Buy a 6 pack of Dr Pepper rather than use the machine at work Done!
3. Open all mail and file as needed as it arrives Did it about half the time
This week is more ambitious as I have the week off work:
1. Work out S.O.A.
2. Do bank transfer stuff to move to new A&L account
3. file all paperwork and bills
4. pass driving theory test on Wednesday (Preferably with 100% correct, as Mr. Me just told me that his ex got 100%!!!

6. have one afternoon of cooking meals to freeze for convenience
7. file US taxes _pale_
8. continue tracking all spending in diary
9. switch from Aohell broadband
10. exchange electric mattress warmer that quit working less than a month after purchase!
And most importantly, don't beat myself up when I don't get it all done! I *know* it's an ambitious list! (And especially the footnote to 4, as ex grew up in this country, so had a huge advantage over someone who has to learn the highway code from scratch! )
-MichelleHi, I'm Mich
I won a years supply of Comfort fabric softener in November 2013 - more than half remains...
2015 survey proceeds £115.360 -
My goals for last week were:
1. Have 2 no spend days this week. Didn't manage any, must try harder
2. Try to find a cheap or free rabbit hutch. Having 2 baby rabbits for free in April, but trying to spend as little as possible on hutch etc. Offered a free hutch, needs a latch fitted but that's all.
3. Put loose change in credit union account.Didn't manage at all
4. Deliver and collect Avon Booklets and hopefully get plenty of orders.Have orders totalling £400, so will see a profit of £100 once money is collected.
So all in all 50% of my goals achieved, must try harder.
My goals for this week will be:
1. Reduce my sky package.
2. Put loose change in credit union account.
3. Post 3 items on ebay.
4. Have 1 no spend day.
Hope you all have a good week.

Last week's goals:
1) - Order some stock for part time business and continue with business plan. YES
2) - Submit three job applications. NO, sent two.
3) - Save at least three 20p's (to take me up to £5.) YES
4) - List at least one book on Amazon. NO
5) - Get back on track with healthy eating (have decided I'm allowed one 'unhealthy' meal each weekend, but I have to stay on track during the week!) There's been a definite improvement, still occasionally having chocolate/crisps, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was!
6) - Four no spend days (Mon - Thurs) to enable me to buy merchandise at the concert on Friday night. Managed three no spend days, but had to contribute to petrol one day, but I still had enough to buy a t-shirt at the concert, which was the main aim of the no spend days.
This week's goals in a new format!
1) - Books. Amazon. List. Immediately!
2) - Jobs. Apply for minimum of three.
3) - 20p's. Save lots towards birthday day out.
4) - Library. Join.0 -
Last weeks:
Send off letter to HSBC to attempt to have my graduate loan PPI cancelled Nope, am going to ring them this week anyway as there is going to be no money going into my account until the 18th of May (my first pay day)
3) Send of letter to Barclaycard and get my PPI cancelled Yep and had confirmation letter
I have no goals for this week as there is nothing i can do until i have some money coming in0 -
Goals for the last week:
1. Two no-spend days - achieved
2. Action last payment to Virgin card and pay off current spending on Barclaycard and LTSB card - achieved
3. Restack kitchen carousel and update list of freezer contents - achieved, in fact I've sorted out every cupboard containing food so I have good knowledge of what I have, plus I've sorted out OH's entire wardrobe
4. Start sorting cds into some kind of order so we can find what we are looking for - not started yet
5. Moderate any emotionally-charged eating, spending or posting - hah, this one speaks volumes about my outlook last Sunday! I didn't do too badly, I had a couple of chocolate free days, tried to eat a sensible breakfast and lunch, went to a major shopping centre but only spent on needful things and played Thumper on a lot of non-postingOn the minus side I know I've worn my heart on my sleeve a few times this week and not kept control of grocery shopping because it made me happy to roam the aisles which inevitably led to some impulse spending
6. Move funds into my account early to take advantage of end of year and interest calculations - done
7. Visit new nephew (this is a completely indulgent goal as he's not actually here yet and will be absolutely no chore to go and see when he is!!) - failed for reasons you can possibly guess (my poor sister is getting really impatient now!)
Goals for the new week:
1. Two no-spend days
2. Think about cc repayments as I've just cleared a card and will have access to Christmas Club (yes, my timing has drifted a bit!) funds this week. Do I want to move from stoozing to a cashback framework?
3. Get out my beads and make two pieces for raffle prizes (one adult, one child) plus present for sister, try to find the fun and inspiration so that I'm keen to keep on after this
4. Tidy my desk
5. Plan meals
6. Sort out/deliver birthday presents to sister, BIL and MIL
7. Get through what is likely to be a tough week
Best of luck everyone.Do I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending£2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:0 -
