OK, my spend for today is €1.12. €0.42 for a banana and €0.70 for a Diet Coke.
I didn't manage a NSDas I simply didn't have anything else at home that I could add to my packed lunch (and one sandwich a small treat is not enough!).
Pay day tomorrow so will do some grocery shopping then.

In a nutshell....yes! lol
There are a lot of similar or identical words (Sorry = Sorry, Hello = Hallo, My = Mijn etc), however, there are also a lot of words that look like, well, double dutch to me! lol And there is more than one way to say 'you' as there are plural versions, formal and informal versions etc!
But...I am progressing in my course and.....Ik spreek nu een beetje Nederlands = I speak a little Dutch now
Tot ziens! (See you later)February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Thanks Pointypenguin, its difficult, I've lost 48 1/2 pounds so far, but got a lot more to go, also having a NSD today (there is a small possibility of buying a pint of milk, but we may be able to do that tomorrow!)
Now I need to think of next weeks budget!Debt free 11/05/11!
Savings £4000/ £3000 -
OK, I overslept this morning (cancelled the alarm instead of snoozing it!) so I didn't have time for breakfast and subsequently bought a giant cookie and a drink once I got to work. €2.40 spent already and it's not even lunch time yet!
But, it is pay day!! Yay!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I went on my night out with the college girls last night and spent...wait for it... £3.30!!!!!
I was driving so no taxis, and even better, no hangover!!!
So that's £20.50 so far this week!
Hopefully a NSD today.
xxx:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
While I haven't been uber good and had a whole week of NSD, I've only spent money that had been budgetted for (or was part of my Irish lottery win!) so I'm still going for a total of zero...and payday tomorrow
Strangely enough cant wait to get that money and start paying my bills :P

Tell me about it!
I get paid today (but often doesn't show up in my account until around lunchtime) and I simply cant wait to pay some more bills.
It's my first pay day since my lightbulb moment so I'm really looking forward to seeing a decrease in my debt!
July is still going to be a very tight month for me, but I have my brother's wedding on 24th to look forward to! Am flying over to the UK for that and can't wait to see all the family again, especially the kids!
Let's just hope they don't decide to ask me and my OH when we are getting married again! Like they did at my sister's wedding! I know they were put up to it though, by my brother's and sister's! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I think I must've spent most of my day yesterday working next month's budget! It's really made me aware that I have virtually NO spare money- I long for the day when I can budget myself a clothing allowance!! It really is scary to see that £560 really doesn't go very far...
Hope you have a great time back over hereCan I trade places with you
Been dying to get over there and see all my friends!

Yeah, I have no clothing allowance, entertainment allowance, treats allowance etc this month. I have a food budget and that's it
But, my rent halves as from 1st August (officially moving in with the OH) so it will be much better after that. Phew!
I hate being skint, which is why I love being on here. I don't feel alone and can chat to loads of other people experiencing the same thing.
I will have a great time in the UK, and with any luck I won't be ill (had flu at my sister's wedding - it was in December!).
Yeah, let's trade places! lol
Flights are sooo expensive sometimesAnd....I decided to try booking my return flight separately from my outbound flight with BA (they were the cheapest for a change) and guess what?! It worked out 30 quid cheaper to do it that way, instead of booking both at the same time!!!

Cheeky mofo's!
I know what you mean- I had a bit of a brainfreeze booking train tickets to see Mr Delivery the other week and just booked a return instead of checking the singles and breaking the trip up- if I book Lynn- Cambs and Cambs to Harlow the tickets end up costing me £8 less than a straight return!
That's great about the rent, are you looking forward to moving back in together? Ahhh I'm such a soppy romantic, I got a big grin on my face when I read that
