I spent €3.01 on lunch today. I know, I know, take my own but I needed to go grocery shopping. Which I have now done, so taking my own lunches for the rest of the week

Evening all
I've had a NSD today, yay! Took sarnies etc to work and went out to buy new trainers (from clothing budget!), which were a bargain at £20 for Nike.
Went out for a run this evening, so feeling very virtuous!

Called into town for a birthday card (gift budget) and some bread (food budget) and resisted shoes, chocolate and a pasty from Gregs!! So didn't spend a penny from my £30 this week.
Even better when I got home my wonderful friend from Jersey had posted me some choccys and a card for passing my college course!! The only person who has congratulated me.
No further spends planned for this afternoon :-)
Happy sunny day everyone!

OK, so I spent a total of €3.42 today. €1.12 for a drink and a banana and €2.30 for my part of my return travel from my dutch course .The other half is covered by my work ticket, and I have a 'strippenkaart' (multiple ticket) for way there from the office which my other half gave me for free as he didn't need it.

Hi
Just my planned postage for today, which came to £2.61, so that leaves me with £9.39 for the rest of the week.
Hoping for a NSD or LSD tomorrow (may need to get a drink for work), but trying to keep most of my money intact for Friday when I'll be meeting up with a mate for lunch.

Evening!
Welcome to all new people :hello: it's lovely to have you with us! I'm relatively new too and i find this challenge v helpful, especially as it feels like an achievable thing to do each week. And of course the people are such good company...
I wanted to share one thing with you guys... I meet up with a friend on a regular basis and last night instead of our usual cafe/bar/restaurant meet up I suggested we meet up and go for a long walk and gossip in the park. She loved it, we saved ourselves the cost of our usual bottle of wine and had a lovely leisurely walk. There were some very nice runners and joggers to "people watch" too! V pleased with that particular money saving venture!
I'm also checking in to declare that I succeeded in my attempt for 2 NSD's this week and so, as I'm off to a festival tmw (and it's all budgeted for), I'm declaring myself GREEN for this week at £0
I'm offline until next week so won't be able to make my pledge this weekend - so Pointy Penguin can I please put my pledge for next week in early? I'd like to try and stick to £7 unbudgeted spending next week. Many, many thanks in advance.
Anyway, keep it going people, I'm looking forward to hearing how you're doing when I'm back from fun and frolicks at the festival...

Congratulations on passing your course. I found out on Saturday I passed my exams so onto second year for me in September woohoo :j
Sounds like everyone is doing well this week.
Well done London Welshcake on finding some good money saving ideas, I will add your pledge for next week when I set up the new thread
natsing well done on the weight loss, it is something I always mean to get around to
euronorris is learning dutch hard?
I am up early today as I haven't packed yet as I was out last night. I had a very cheap night as my friend paid for dinner and the taxi as she owned me money for the ticket so my only spend yesterday was £1.40 on a chai tea latte from the canteen at work.
I am on holiday later today so I won't be around for the rest of the week. Please post your results and pledges on this thread and I will set up the new one on Sunday night / Monday morning (depending on if the wonderful people at Ryanair decide to delay my flight)
Enjoy the rest of the week and I hope you all have some sunshine.
