Big tidy up needed tomorrow as we discovered this morning that the kids have misplaced my car keys. I only had them last night. We still haven't found the shop and scan scanner yet either, and there are more niggly things missing like the knob for my exercise bike that adjusts the seat height. Why they do it i will never know.[/QUOTE]

i lost my car keys.... after looking for about 4 hours.... including DP breaking into the car to see if they were locked in there my neighbour knocked on door as she'd seen them on the back step, thought i was loosing my mind until DP asked 2 year old what he'd done with mummies keys he picked them up took them to the door and posted them through the letter box..... :rotfl:

Glad you found the car keys! lol at the scanner being in the ironing basket....well of course it would be there!

I am dreading finding somewhere to put all the christmas toys. We are also lucky that DD has a playroom but even that is quite full! The toys seem to be getting bigger too - any hints on how to survive it!

Are you all ready for the start of the kitchen work then?

Maybe he said it vaguely knowing that he probably wont see it lol.

Can your young one teach my older ones to put toys away please?? I tend to have to keep nagging them and still they dont seem to get it.

As for the uniform I always leave it til the last minute and only just washed their pe kit today, shocking I know. Realised that DD didnt come home with her pe top and I dont have a spare one. So she has to try and find it when she gets to school. i have told her I am not buying a new one, she has to learn to look after her things! grr

Men are always vauge. but increase payslips are nice.

My kids not good at a tidy up either. Trying to use impending move as a way of getting then thinned out. we have enough little people to shock fisherprice but that seems a no go :( the babyish stuff like stakcers and stuff we have charity shopped with the idea that once bamp is getting closer than age we will just replace if needed but TBH with all the other toys I wouldn't be surprised if s/he moves straight to mega bloks and my little pony.

I asked. Apparently the vagueness is because DH has to suggest how much him and the other full time guy should have. There are only the 2 of them and the boss. I think he is struggling to think of an amount that is not cheeky and won't be too much for them to afford. Even £50 is better in our pocket. I think we need to think about a pension for DH though as he has never had one. At least i paid into the teachers one for 7 years.

Toys - the bane of everyones life. :DDH was saying we should keep some stuff like a fisher price piggy bank for slotting coins in. To be honest, DS2 is well past it. He has alway preferred the better toys of DS1s and loves little figures and role play. DH said oh, it will help him count. He can already count to 7 so i don't see the point. There are lots of ways of learning and keeping old toys is not one of them.

pammy i am trying my best to be organised. I remember my mum standing on a sunday ironing school uniform for 3 of us. I washed it all last weekend, but never got round to ironing it.

Haven't tackled anymore ironing tonight, but i have written another dooyoo review, and done several surveys. I really need some more amazon vouchers for christmas. Now up to £30. I think next year i am going to try to get most of my presents this way.

bolding that bit. My DD2 has done this. stuff DD1 used alot when about 2 like her mini piano, the piggy bank, shame sortes/stackers, has been totally abandoned in favour of DD1's zhu zhu hamster or animal hospital or something not really 'age appropriate' for her. As a result Santa is buying them some zhu zhu stuff just a few bits each and same with sulvanian families. Absolutly no point in not as she will play with them anyway so as well buying more of something they will both like.

Me and my colleague have been thinking about asking for a payrise as work has been really tough lately and she is being left on her own a lot when I go home at 2.55 til 5.30 some nights. Its not fair as we are so busy and I always feel guilty leaving but I leave as late as I can but dont want to be late picking the kids up from school. I normally work 4 days/20 hours but next week I will be going in 5 days doing 27 hours. I used to have it as lieu time so it didnt affect my benefits but I dont need the lieu time now and wouldnt really be able to use it in our busy time anyway.

It sounds like his business must be doing well to offer a payrise, I agree 5% sounds about right. We only got 3% two years ago so think we should ask the same :)

I think we need to think about a pension for DH though as he has never had one.

This is something we need to do as well. My DH has worked constantly since he was 16, now 40, and has never had a pension:eek: He is going to enrol in the work scheme so that we do not miss the money as he has just been promoted and got a good wage increase. He got as far as printing the info off the work web site but needs a push to actually fill in the forms.

I had a good pension too but this has been frozen due to my redundancy, as was a previous works pension I had.

    Wow under £30k by Christmas! That's a great achievement:beer:
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

The payrise sounds promising, especially in this climate.

I have been trying to organise DD's toys but since we are trying for number 2 can't get rid of anything! You don't need to keep everything though, DD learned to count to 12 by us climbing the stairs together. It's the little things that bring them on isn't it.
I am thinking of getting a bounce and spin zebra as I know she will love it. However they're not cheap and the stand it sits on is quite big isn't it. Was easier over the summer when I could buy her outdoor stuff instead!

Hi Michelle,I hope you don't mind me popping in to ask a cheeky question. I was trying to register for some freebies today and i saw chance to sign up for a neilson scanner, so i've put down my details and they will get back to me if I'm suitable. I was wondering if you have to scan every single thing you buy or just your weekly shop, and how much they tend to pay, theres not too many details on the site, thanks, newgirly.
