The inlaws were only here 11-12:30, so not too bad.
I managed to get the kids washed and my shower before they arrived, a quick clean of the bathroom, and to get a honey tea loaf in the oven.
They brought with them loads of veg from their allotment. Courgettes, spinach, chard, french beans and runner beans. The only shame is it is all green, but it will definitely all feature in meals now this week.
They also bought DS1 a new rucksack for him to start nursery with.
I've been busy since they went and made 2 quiches. We just ate one for lunch. Also 10 jam tarts with leftover pastry. Then i have got a batch of beef type stew stuff in the slow cooker for tonights dinner. I just now need to tackle the washing up so i am psyching myself up a bit for that.
At least we are well stocked up with goodies and i can avoid the supermarket for another day.

OOh - free food - always a bonus!! My mum gave me a load of apples and we're off blackberrying later today. She's bringing me some potatoes this week too (we are growing some, but get through heaps and my mum grew the same amount and is mainly by herself - so said she'll give us some!
) My nan sent down a bag of carrots from her greenhouse, too - long may this continue!!
Actually - my freezer is so full I cannot fit anything else in - and my 2 (large) veg drawers in the fridge are also overflowing..... and I have masses of runner beans to pick - argh!! This is going to sound well mean but I'm so glad you have a cold. I thought it was only me. I've no voice, a bad cough (to the point it hurts my ribs) and a sore throat. I have a bit of a runny nose but thats the least of my worries. I've only just eaten my first proper meal of the day...I've just been nibbling up until that point.
I feel quite sick now. Still, at least my horrendous headache has gone. I can't believe how often I'm ill. I'm really really starting to lose patience with it all now. Grrr..Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

... hope you're feeling better by the time you read this. If not, I prescribe looking at post 1022 above for five minutes and then gloating on post 1023. That should give you a nice little glow inside.:)
