I go through stages of keeping on top of the housework and it does feel good to come home to an almost tidy house but I just then feel that I am constantly cleaning and tidying. If i am tidying these days the kids ask me who is coming to visit :D

From my own POV I have to say that decluttering REALLY helps. My two are not helpful inthat respect BUT I don't pick their clothes up from the bedroom floor and wash them (If I do pick up clothes I rehang them in the wardrobe TBH:)) and theyare 14 and 16!
My living room has VERY little clutter in it so cleaning it takes 30 mins tops - and I mean skirtings/light fittings etc!

Glad the party went well and hope the little girl's OK

A lady I sometimes do testing/tasting for has been. Two jars of pasta sauce to test (free;)) and a tenner next week when she comes to collect my form!
She has had a thin time of it with jobs lately - certainly a long long time since I did one for her and says she could have signed on last year work has been so thin.

So we had spag bog for lunch ;)

Just catching up on your diary, Michelle :) Glad the party went well!

We actually managed a NSD today - went for a walk in the Forest of Dean and I insisted that we took a picnic - complete with a flask of tea for me and one of coffee for DH. Weather was on/ off rain, so we only spent a couple of hours there, but it meant some cobwebs were blown away. Sometimes it's just good to get out and have a break from it all! :D

I think you and I have the same life! I said to DH last night that I thought we should turn the heating off now, but he thinks it will be too cold for DS2 at night time as our bedroom is on an outside wall and above the garage, so isn't really insulated.
I'm trying to up his food intake over the next couple of weeks and sort out his sleeping, so hopefully he can move into his own room. His little room is really warm, so then I can turn the heating off altogether.
How sad am I getting excited about being cold cos it will save money :rotfl:

I turned mine off today but then put it back on again too. Hopefully it will be warmer soon.

You could set your goal to be mortgage free by 40 and then set a stretch goal of mortgage free at 35, which with your maths you say is a more realistic target

I'm sloping off now as to just be 35 (again) would be my dream :rotfl:
