GFK are not recruiting in my area (west Wales) but are in Northern Ireland. I have in-laws in NI and was considering if it was worth registreing at their address and then looking for work in my area.
    Any thoughts.

I did this as they were recruiting at my mums postcode but not mine (only 1/2 drive apart!). Just added another postcode near me to pick up local jobs.

    Worth a shot...

The username and password should be printed in BOLD in the Shopper's Brief under Administration.

Thank you. Its not there but at least I know I can stop looking.

I have called them and left messages and emailed and will now wait for them to call me.
    Appreciate your help

    Hey guys.
Did a Drive Thru Chicken for Gap today, and I ordered the Chicken Bucket I was meant to (which according to the brief, came with a drink) although when at the drive thru, you had to pay extra if you wanted a drink.
Me not wanting to invalidate the order by ordering extra, denied, but now I've come to write the report, it's asking me what the drink was like - and there's no comment space to write that I didn't order a drink as it wasn't included in the bucket.

    ARGH!

    What do I do?!
On the report just put down that the drink was great or whatever and then at the end of the report in the comment box tell them exactly what happened and that you only selected that the drink was great in order to express the report. I have done this before and they were fine with it, never heard back from them about it.

    Hello everyone,

I'm just curious is mystery shopping job risky? I was offered for an online job to be a mystery shopper.

It depends in what way you mean risky? If you were offered a job without applying then, yes, I'd say that was a little odd and would be wary of giving your details out.

Otherwise, the main risk (with some companies) comes from eating too much 'free' food, drinking too much 'free' beer etc. So far, the eight or nine companies I have conducted assignments for have all paid properly and on time and very rarely contact me after my visits. It is an enjoyable hobby but I don't think it would be good as a main source of income...

Hi all. My first post after becoming a mystery shopper on Thursday! I've already had 2 jobs today, so very excited!

I've printed off the relevant forms from HMRC to register as self employed. It asks me for a company name. Do I need to put this? Can I make one up?

Also a Business Address. Can I leave this blank. A little bit concerned because I rent, so it doesn't have business insurance etc. Is this OK?

Sorry if these answers seem obvious, but I would like to make sure everything is tickety boo!!!

    Hey Guys

I have done my first job for RM but can not post to the web form as I can not log on!!

The notes say to enter the user name & password at the top of the page (see brief).

I have tried anything and everything that looks like it could work..... please help?

This probably means it is a telephone report and they've forgotten to book you a slot for the typist to telephone you to take your report. So make sure your report is totally written up, so that when they phone you as a result of your message, you can give them the full report there and then if the typist is free. :D

Just did a Gap delivery pizza job. The kids are munching on it as I type, LOL!

However, for my Side order, I asked for chicken goujons (or chicken strips whatever they call them now), but have been charged for, and received, BBQ wings. If this wasn't a MS I'd ring and complain and ask for a refund - should I do so anyway do you think? I'll obviously mention in my report that they sent the wrong item ...
