Regarding the car circuit jobs...did you take notes with you and did you list the target price. What type of things should I take note of. Should I go there with a list of basic specs so I know if it's an "extra" or just standard.

Again apologies for the questions, but really any help would be great.
I don't take notes in with me, but make sure I check them just before I go in, so that I've got the spec and price in my head. Sometimes I have to repeat it to myself, if I have to wait to see the salesman.

I do write down the prices during the negiotiations, as I think that is not out of the usual. I think Ukmonkey advised taking in the Autobytel report with you, if you are struggling to remember things then that would work well, and then they know that you have 'done your research', which helps a bit.

I'm getting so annoyed with having to ask for reciepts. I did a burger job at lunchtime and the girl asked me if I wanted a reciept. As soon as I said yes she told her manager who although he was working another till came running over so that both of them got my order together. The whole time I was eating I could see people who had paid for their meals but were hanging around for several minutes waiting for their orders. It was chaos because new people trying to queue didn't know if these people were in the queue or not. I really feel like writing something in my questionnaire but is supposed to be based on my experience isn't it. Plus they probably won't pay for being discovered as a MSer!!!!!

I think I must be lucky as I dont do burger jobs and so far noone has acted weirdly at all when I ask for a receipt. I say its for work purposes, partner has to do if all the time when hes away as do my family so I dont think its out of the norm ...... unless you are ordering burgers it seems :D

The burger people obviously have enough sense to up their game when someone asks for a receipt but I'm not sure if it does them any favours! When I got sussed as a MS'er it just came across that they wouldn't have even bothered cleaning or bothering with good customer service otherwise.

Do they think we don't notice they've just launched operation "Brown Nose" when we ask for a receipt?!?!

I haven't done one of these particular jobs - but I would have thought it wouldn't do any harm to put a comment in the notes section at the end just to say while you were eating you did notice other customers who seemed to be waiting a long time (or something like that). I've done pizza jobs for Gap and have commented in the notes about how they cleaned up and re-arranged tables to accommodate customers while I was waiting in the queue, so I don't think it would be inappropriate to say what you noticed while you were actually in the place.

Yeah I agree. As a customer, part of the experience is what you see happening around you - and if you weren't MSing, and you saw those things going on - it may influence your decision to come again and the client would want to know that.

I still don't know if I'm going to get paid for the MS I did where I was sussed out!

Thanks for your thoughts. I've submitted it now and I have made a comment that some people were waiting a long time while I was served very quickly.

The easiest way to do that is to hit quote like you normally would -then hightlight the quote-including the tags at the beginning and end and copy it. by highlighting it and clicking copy Go onto the thread you want to put it on and right click and click paste-and then put your response below the text including the tags -and it'll give you what you wanted.

I also did an ABA-i petrol job yesterday and was VERY easy!! Got paid for filling up my car and buying a newspaper as I would normally do anyway!

I did 2 of these today, and even as a new MS'er I found them really easy as well. Mind you I could have kicked myself on the second one because instead of putting in normal diesel, I put in the 'special' diesel by mistake, so I got nearly 3 litres less for my £10 . I could have sworn the pump wasn't marked as the 'special' stuff, but I can't be bothered to go back to check.
