Thanks for this Scotsbob. I did a burger job yesterday. As usual when asked for a receipt, the whole Benny Hill sketch was done.
Disconcertingly, they were so busy tidying up an already tidy place that they ignored a poor mum with two kids and a stroller. She had to go down some stairs while her wee one was holding onto the tray. Disconcertingly, the Asst Mgr was sitting about two seats away from me, staring at me whilst making notes. Guess which shop I will be banned from?0 -

When I asked for the receipt she was not a happy bunny! Low and behold this all went on my report and CCTV footage was checked and an accurate description of me was passed on to GAP. I was telephoned and asked about 15 questions such as did I have a child with me? No! - Certainly not on GAP assignments! So whenever I see that branch pop up on the visits available list and I try to apply for the assignment I get declined. Funny that!
That's odd. I wonder why they let you see the job at all if you are blocked? Is it just that branch you can't do?0 -

Not sure if this is the best place to post but you all seem experts on Mystery Shopping so I thought I would ask here.
I am a mum of 3 kiddies (1 being a baby), mystery shopping looks interesting but is it possible to do with a baby joining in?
Cheers

With the burger jobs I have done in the past, you can only do so many in a set timeframe, then if you try to apply they will get declined - its nothing to do with you being blocked though for giving a poor report0 -
Hiya,
The only thing in my report which were negative was waiting to be served whilst staff had a private chat and being told to take a seat and they will bring my meal over without a reason why. I gave a glowing report on the guy in the restuarant as he was really friendly and good at his job. I guess I will just have to wait and see :rolleyes:Debt free date 23rd march 2009 🥳Autism is my super power 🏳️🌈 🌈✨0 -

I really fail to see why so many people are getting "banned" from doing jobs.....
I have always reported exactly how I see it and have quite often submitted poor reports about shops, to not only Gap with regards to burger jobs but also stamp jobs and I still get emails and phone calls offering jobs from the next upcoming waves. The amount of people that serve me in the burger shops that dont smile, they dont even look bothered about you being there, some of them couldn't care less about the shop or the company they work for, and when I report back about this I hear nothing back, no queries or anything.
I have also submitted poor reports to Tern, RE and ABAi.
There must be other reasons as to why you are getting "banned" - if it was a global rule, then surely I would be "banned" as well?
Hiya
My report in terms of Gap questionaire was good. ie. timings were good, clean and spotless toilets, friendly staff. It is just I was probably recognised as a mystery shopper because I asked for a receipt as per the brief.
I've done another branch of a burger place as well, where I have been ID by the staff because of that dastard receipt and not allowed to take any more assignments for that particular location. It was a good report as well.
I can see where they are coming from. It is no good if the staff can spot me a mile away for the next time. I can still apply for other locations though. So I'll lie low for a while. The burgers are giving me indigestion anyhoo. :rotfl:0 -
Ooohh another story! I sort of remember a discussion about taking photographs.
I had to take one for that French sandwich place for RE and was stopped by a Patrol guard! He asked me to go to the Security Controller and apply for a permit. Did try to show him my paperwork but no go. Emailed RE back and they said it was fine but I was still docked 1 point.0 -
