Anyone want to guess how long its going to take G*P to sack me.

I have just had a query about...wait for it.....a burger job! On...guess what..wait for it....yes timings! I timed it to the second as I always do. However I knew this would happen as they took a long time to serve me. It almost makes me want to make up the timings to suit, knowing then there would be no query! Whats the point in these jobs? The only thing I can think is if the company concerned ever gets complaints they can say, well 99.9% of our mystery shops always come out with glowing reports, so there cannot be a problem:rotfl:

Oh well i'm fed up of burgers anyway, however on a busy day of MSing they come in useful for lunch:rotfl:

Hope everyones having a better day than me.

I have also had a quiery regarding timings for a burger and they have sent a discription of me and hwat I did whilst in the store! I didn't like the discription of me and also does it mean that I can no longer do mystery shop there???
Its unfair because the staff were talking and didn't notice me at the counter and this caused the delay!

BARE pay at the end of the month after completion.

i.e you complete job 3rd July, it should get paid end August (in your account beginning of Sept).

Bare pay 20th of the month following - so according to your bank you get it between 21st and 24th.
My bank does 'faster payments' which go in the same day for £250 or less but over that takes 3/4 days. All banks aren't exactly the same.

There must have been something in your report they didn't agree with that's the only reason they would check the cctv. If your report was accurate then you won't be stopped from shopping there.

If you give a glowing report no one is going to check out your visit. However picture the scene when a manager tells them that a mystery shopper has raised a problem with the way they work. What now happens? Well out of embarrassment or pride, or self preservation, the assistant denies it. The manager then checks the tv footage. Obviously the assistant will be looking for any mistake on your part on the basis that if you got one thing inaccurate the rest is all suspect.

Therefore if you are putting down negative things make sure there is a whole bundle of positive things surrounding the negative. If you are praised for getting 9 things right you are less likely to kick off about the one negative. However if only one negative is mentioned you are more likely to get upset and start protesting.

OMG, I cannot even imagine what a description of me would read like!!:rotfl:

With my query a very nice lady from G*P replied and told me I would be getting payment on this occassion but Ihad to keep all paperwork for six months........I do keep all my paper work, I'm not sure where she got the impression from I didn't??. Anyway I shall have to see if I get offered any more.

Not sure if this is the best place to post but you all seem experts on Mystery Shopping so I thought I would ask here.

I am a mum of 3 kiddies (1 being a baby), mystery shopping looks interesting but is it possible to do with a baby joining in?

    Cheers

Thanks for this Scotsbob. I did a burger job yesterday. As usual when asked for a receipt, the whole Benny Hill sketch was done.

Disconcertingly, they were so busy tidying up an already tidy place that they ignored a poor mum with two kids and a stroller. She had to go down some stairs while her wee one was holding onto the tray. Disconcertingly, the Asst Mgr was sitting about two seats away from me, staring at me whilst making notes. Guess which shop I will be banned from?

A lot of MS jobs state you must go alone, although there are some jobs that you can do with more than 1 person

I would imagine that taking a baby along could possibly distract you so wouldnt be a great idea

I really fail to see why so many people are getting "banned" from doing jobs.....

I have always reported exactly how I see it and have quite often submitted poor reports about shops, to not only Gap with regards to burger jobs but also stamp jobs and I still get emails and phone calls offering jobs from the next upcoming waves. The amount of people that serve me in the burger shops that dont smile, they dont even look bothered about you being there, some of them couldn't care less about the shop or the company they work for, and when I report back about this I hear nothing back, no queries or anything.
I have also submitted poor reports to Tern, RE and ABAi.

There must be other reasons as to why you are getting "banned" - if it was a global rule, then surely I would be "banned" as well?

I sometimes take baby along but only if the brief doesn't state anything about not bringing anyone with you. I had a lovely restaurant job the other week where baby was required so it's swings and roundabouts but I would say that the highest paying jobs are always the ones where you have to go it alone. Actually, now thinking about it, that's not strictly true as GAP never allow babies and their jobs are the lowest paid!
